Professional Experience

Saudi Aramco; Riyadh Refinery, Saudi Arabia

General Superintendent/Lead Design Engineer 2010-2017 Supervised Sanitary waste, Platformer Heater, and Drainage capital projects for Riyadh refinery. Designed, supervised and implemented 300 Piping Tie-ins in Hydrocracker unit, 400 Piping Tie- ins for the Crude Unit, 200 Tie-ins and modifications to the Platformer and Isomerization Unit, and two tie-in into a 60” Flare Line. Responsible for Welding, X-Ray, PAUT, Hydro Tests and PWHT. Supervised work on vessels, Columns, Reactors including Re-rating of R-Stamped vessels and installation of new reactors, Fin-Fan coolers, exchangers and pumps. Key Projects: 2006-2010

Saudi Aramco Riyadh Refinery Optimization (Main Contractor: Samsung EPC} Budget: $500 million. Lead Mechanical Construction/Piping Site Engineer. Staff: 50 Engineers

Lead Construction Engineer overseeing the implementation of the piping and mechanical design packages developed by Samsung for a 3 months major refinery turn- around/shutdown.

Optimized refinery to reduce emissions of sulfur and to produce 97% octane level gasoline and reduced sulfur diesel.

Combined 4 different hydrotest packages (20 tie-in points) to a single package, calculated a common test pressure saving a week in implementation.

Lead team efforts for the overall filtration from 200 potential tie-in points to about 50. Key Projects (General Superintendent) 1991-2006

Upgrade Drainage System Riyadh Refinery

Worked with Consulting Engineers to develop proposals and detailed engineering packages to identify deficiencies in the draining system and to correct these.

Designed efficient containing, treating, collecting and disposing oil water, storm water, and fire water facilities.

Scope out requirements of new Three bay API Separator

. Loss Prevention Engineer

Reviewed all detail design calculations and packages for all high-pressure vessels, reboilers, Fire Heaters, Exchangers to meet guidelines issued in ASME and API Codes and Standards.

Determined Maximum Allowable Stresses, Design and Operating Pressures. Upgrade of Sanitary Waste Water System

Supervised capital project to collect all sanitary waste water in Riyadh Refinery complex area.
