INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Aadi Properties LLP., Mumbai, Maharashtra, India May 2016 – June 2017 Assistant Site Engineer

Coordinated with architects, consultants & contractors for as-build drawings to check its feasibility on site validating the design alignment Examined the reinforcement - shuttering for beams, columns, footings, and walls are as required in the drawings received & prepared DPR H. M. Raje Structural Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, Maharashtra, India July 2014 – May 2016 Assistant Structural Design Engineer

• Industrial Building, Tarapur, Maharashtra

Generated the model in Stadd Pro, examining the moments, base reactions, the shear force and the structure’s capacity to endure the vibrations rechecking the same manually with the calculations and formulas (IS Codes) to design the structure in combination with angles, channels and I Beams in the most economical manner

• K. Raheja Corporation Gigaplex, Airoli, Thane – (A commercial complex of 16 towers of 16 floors each) Constructed the model in CSI-ETABS, cross-checking the generated values with manual calculations for ensuring the accuracy of the model to design structural elements such as footings, walls, columns, beams, and slabs also inspected the site to verify the work carried out

• Structural Steel Project – Bill Boards, Bridge Trusses, and Roof Trusses Formed and designed models of the structures in Stadd Pro also conducted site inspections

• Alfa, Mayfair Housing, Mumbai– (A residential complex of 2 towers of 16 floors each) Led the team successfully, achieving the set goals in time and received appreciation from the management also attended meetings with the client to undertake new projects

M/s. Aakar Architects and Consultants, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India May 2010 – July 2011 Intern

Drafted & verified 2D models of a floor for its feasibility to be built to ensure it was not violating any norms or regulations ACADEMIC PROJECT

“FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS ON A STEEL PLATE”

• Created a steel plate using ABAQUS to perform buckling analysis under axial compression and pure shear with all four sides being simply supported conditions and a distributed load applied along its two opposite edges and computed the critical buckling loads

• Determined the critical buckling loads using theoretical calculations to compare it with the computed values from ABAQUS and calculated the error between the values and buckled shape also graphed out the mesh sensitivity analysis with different mesh sizes

“DESIGNING A TYPICAL FLOOR SYSTEM”

• Designed various elements of typical prestressed concrete floor system using charts in the Prestressed Concrete Institute’s handbook

• Calculated and examined manually the shear-torsion for the L-Beams and the shear connector of the corbel

• Assembled summary for each structural element presenting sectional dimensions, geometry, material specification & reinforcement layout

“1st and 2nd ORDER ELASTIC AND INELASTIC ANALYSIS ON A BEAM COLUMN”

• Built a Beam-Column Member in MASTAN2 on 5 different models having a different number of elements and analyzed the model for second-order inelastic analysis to study convergence also noted the nodal displacements of each node

• Performed first & second order elastic analysis and determined the respective deflection with an increment of 0.5 to plot the Force versus deflection graph also conducted Buckling analysis and learned the critical vertical load for different values of the ratio of moments on the second order inelastic analysis to represent an interaction diagram between the ratio of moments versus of loads

“SOIL STABILIZATION USING PLASTICS”

• Supplemented plastic in three different forms/type as a reinforcing agent into the regular soil (with application in retaining walls, embankments etc.), thereby reducing the pollution problem and using it efficiently

• Analyzed the unreinforced and reinforced soil samples performing various test obtaining their physical properties & prepared a detailed report comparing results, the impact of various forms/type of plastic samples in soil & concluded the best of the samples SKILLS

• MS OFFICE: Word, Excel and Powerpoint Math: PTC-MathCAD

• Drafting: AutoCAD – 2D and 3D, REVIT, 3Ds Max Structural Modelling & Analysis: STADD Pro, ABAQUS, CSI-ETABS, CSI-SAFE & MASTAN2 EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

• Won Band Competition in School for 3 Straight years as Band Leader

• A member of PEATA [Practicing Engineers Architects and Town-planners Association], India
