2009 / 1-2014 -PERSONAL CAREGIVER TO MY PARENTS, AND BROTHER –
I took a leave of absence from the Temporary Service in order to take care of my mother who
was diagnosed with cancer in 2009, my father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
/Dementia in 2008, and my brother who was diagnosed with Progressive MS. My brother was
still walking when he went into a nursing home during January 2009, but learned that they
didn’t want to walk him, because they wanted to keep him as a permanent resident. So I
removed him from their care in July 2009, and took care of him myself. That same month my
mother was diagnosed with cancer. My mother passed away in May 2010, my brother
passed away in December 2013 (he walked until May 2013), and my father passed away
January 2014
