ACADEMIC PROJECT:
As a part of B.E design project (6th
& 7th
semester, team
of seven), we designed a 276 seater, 6000 km range, subsonic passenger aircraft. We used all the
theoretical concepts, learned during the course to design this aircraft. I was responsible for the design of wing, landing gears and the stability of aircraft.
As the final year project, we team of four, are working
(dec 2018 – apr 2019) on the topic “Effect of milled glass fillers on the fatigue behaviour of glass-
reinforced epoxy composite”. We are working to find the optimum percentage of milled glass filler to be added to the glass-fiber composite to enchance its fatigue life.
INTERNSHIP & TRAINING:
During the period of May - June 2018, we (as a team of two) did “A study on aircraft generators and its
materials” at one of labs of India s prestigious research organisation DRDO. We did this project for the
oncoming fighter aircraft AMCA, under the guidance of Scientist-G of CVRDE, Chennai.
As a part of our academic curriculum, I undergone a 10- day (10 dec 2018 – 19 dec 2018) residential flight training program at IIT Kanpur. Here, I had exposure to Cessna 206H, Piper Saratoga and Hansa 3 aircraft. WORKSHOPS & SEMINARS ATTENDED:
Attended aero modelling workshop conducted by
Aerotrix, where I learnt to build radio controlled airplane.
Attended the national seminar on future requirements in space and defence technologies for India
organized by centre for aerospace research, MIT
campus.
Attended national level hands-on workshop on NDT methods and techniques organized by saveetha
engineering college, Chennai.
PRIZES & AWARDS:
Won the 2nd
place in ANTONY CREAVTIVE ARTIST
CHALLENGE, an inter-school painting competition
among 2000 participants in the year Aug 2011.
Won the district 3rd place in south India Monolisa art competition, in the year 2013.
Won many prizes in school for English elocution, Tamil elocution, singing, Tamil and English essay writing, drawing competitions and quizzes.
Awarded the BEST PERFORMER AWARD in the school for the academic year 2012-2013.
Won prizes in school for the group sport KHO-KHO. EXTRA- CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Co-ordinator of one of the events in the national level technical symposium, Flight’18.
