Distribution Operations Manager

Overall responsibility of all distribution operation including pick-pack, inventory, receiving, shipping, personnel, budget, matrix standards, logistics. Designed KPI matrix for pick-pack resulting in doubling the daily output of product, created a “Take Responsibility” attitude with associates, created flow processes for all distribution processes thus resulting in cost savings and efficiency, created restock min/max, eliminated a 1.5 year backlog in credits, created various departments for efficiency and cost. Increased production and same day delivery of internet orders along with redesign of 250,000 sq/ft warehouse for maximum effectiveness.

Operations Manager

Overall operational responsibilities of a 150,000 sqft, high volume distribution operation. Responsible for pick-pack operation, ecommerce, receiving, shipping including scheduling of OTR loads and fleet vehicles, personnel, and budgeting. Restructured the warehouse including procedures to increase efficiency and lower inventory discrepancies. Developed KPI”s and instituted policy’s to improve efficiencies.

NORTH SHORE BOTTLING, Brooklyn NY 2010-2013

Operations Manager

Responsible for all aspects of a 3 shift pick-pack warehouse including receiving, shipping, order picking, inventory, and personnel of a 65-person staff. Redesigned the warehouse to comply with a new computerized picking and inventory system for maximum efficiency along with implementation. Improved JIT and streamlined the ordering process allowing funds to be cleared from the bottom line. Managed personnel production to improve value in the hourly production.

NEW BREED TECHNOLOGIES, Kearney, NJ 2009-2010 Operations Manager

P&L responsibility for a 750,000 sqft warehouse and production facility.

Recruit, hire, train and manage a staff of 40+ employees in shipping/receiving and production.

Worked with computerized inventory control management systems from receipt of goods through final shipment.

Managed a high volume customized sorting system, which included generating multi-millions of pieces of mail equipment weekly.

MIDDLESEX DISTRIBUTERS, Perth Amboy, NJ 2001-2008

Operations Manager

Managed a 60,000 sqft foot pick/pack conveyor warehouse, maintaining all convenience store inventory for 7-11 stores in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Managed a fleet of 24 ft trucks from lease negotiations and maintenance through drivers and helpers, aggregating a total of 60 employees.

Completely redesigned, rebuilt and restructured the warehouse including procedures; installation of a new WMS which included a conveyer system and computerized coding. Noted improvements: Increased capacity, decreased labor costs and expanded bottom line.

Responsible for budget creations and decisions with corporate lines including inventory, receiving, order processing and routing.

Recruited to design and develop a warehouse and production distribution system for a manufacturer of vertical blinds and drapes.

Worked closely with architects, engineers and the general contractor in the development of the new facility.

Selected the most appropriate warehouse management system and oversaw its installation and implementation.

Warehouse Manager

Supervised a staff of 100+ warehouse and production personnel. Managed the bank’s high speed mailing system, which distributed financial documents (proxies, stock certificates, dividend checks, prospectuses and annual reports). Scheduled and oversaw the timely mailing of financial documents, proxies, dividends, stock certificates and annual reports.

Created WMS to accommodate high-volume warehouse operations.
