• I visit a sweet Iraqi woman who has become a dear friend of mine. She is a refugee from Baghdad, Iraq and since we have shared many life events, including the birth of her daughter and my marriage. May 2016 - Aug 2016 Refugee Relief Volunteer, Global Hope, Amman, Jordan.
• I served in an administrative role for a non-profit organization called Global Hope under the leadership of Jamal Hashweh who is the Regional Director. My task was to document Iraqi and Syrian refugee stories with the purpose of creating a newsletter to raise financial support. I also took Arabic classes for a month and taught at a Vacation Bible School at a local church. My time in the Middle East was unforgettable! June 2015 – Aug 2015 Missionary Trainee, New Tribes Mission, Madang, Papua New Guinea.
• I went on a six week short term mission’s trip to a tribe in Papua New Guinea for culture and language acquisition. We got to live with natives in a remote tribe in the highlands of Papua New Guinea and learned about their culture and ancestors.
