Responsible for the supervision and training of 3 warehouse associates while, determining current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs.

Identifies, researches abnormal inventory conditions and takes corrective action.

Maintains logs and files on the movement of damaged, misdirected, returned, and defective merchandise to vendor and/or manufacture.

Review stock and inventory data and cross-reference with historical data to determine required actions. Analyze and correct problems with reports such as; sales, inventory, and accounting reports.

Develop and maintain guidelines on supply levels and conduct inventories on a regular schedule. Issue stock from requisitions.

Ensure all stock locations are clean and organized for ease of inventory and accountability of over $50 million in merchandise.

Work with store managers and product vendors to coordinate deliveries to ensure sale merchandise is received and delivered to the sales floor prior to weekly sales.

Work closely with other branches to track merchandise, truck schedules, purchase orders, and transfers.

Assist with cash office duties, including deposits from daily sales and vending funds. Distribute daily funds to 20 point of sale units for following day business.

SALES SUPERVISOR NAS PATUXENT RIVER NAVY EXCHANGE 1990 TO 2003

Supervise 15 sales associates in various departments. Responsible for new employee orientation, yearly training, and instruction on new procedures, and for day to day operations of the organization.

Prepared yearly work performance appraisals on subordinates and provided timely counseling when required.

As technical writer, wrote in excess of 100 standard operating procedures. This included; cash handling, store opening and closing, hand-held computer units, electronic department security procedures, inventory, and other various materials to aid in day-to-day operations.

Review stock levels against current sales and adjust on hand inventory in the replenishment system.

Process time cards for associates. Ensure accuracy of posted hours. Ensure leave chits and doctors notes are attached and time cards are signed by appropriate supervisor. Maintain current payroll data.

Loss prevention Board Member. Develop policy and procedure to prevent losses through shrink and theft. Procedures were used as model for other branches.

Handle customer inquiries in a professional manner and direct questions and complaints to the appropriate associate or manager.
