Community Health Automated Medicaid Processing System (CHAMPS) is designed for Maryland State Medicaid Management Information System (MD MMIS). It is a web-based Medicaid system. This system manages the Medicaid and Medicare for the low-income people of Maryland State. The MD MMIS system has Several Systems like Provider, Claims, Benefits and Administration, HIPPA, Financials, Contract Management, Prior Authorization, etc subsystems.

Claim Subsystem: Subsystem handles entire Claim processing, From Claim Submission to Remittance Advice (RA) Generation. This system maintains different functionalities like Claim Submission and Paper Claims Manage Claims (Resolve Claim, Adjust/Void Claim, Mass Adjustment), Inquire Claims, Non-Claim Adjustments (Manage Gross Adjustments, Manage Recurring Payments, Manage Payment Withholds), and Administration (Error Codes, RA Messages).
