Introduction to Engineering Design (Go Kart Making), UCLA, CA September-December 2018 Powertrain Lead

● Studied in a 10 week intensive class covering the mechanical and electrical aspects of a single seat Go Kart

● Used Solidworks to design the powertrain of the Go Kart and machined water jetted aluminum pieces with drills & sanders

● Wired all of the electrical components of the car (drive motors, motor controllers, batteries, switches, and throttle)

● One of two cars out of the five teams to complete the course Bruin Racing (Formula), UCLA, CA September-December 2018 Chassis and Suspension Subteam Member

● Used Solidworks to help design the frame to hold the chassis. Made chassis welding easier as pieces were held by the frame

● Completed various small projects such as finding the center of mass of the car in all three axes FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics Team, Barrington High School, Barrington, RI September 2014-February 2018 Co-Captain and Lead Engineer

● Designed and built a large metal robot required to fit in an 18in cube that had to collect balls and lift them into buckets

● Coordinated and delegated work for the other members on the 12 person team

● Team placed 3rd overall and 1st in Control Award at 2017 RI FTC States; Overall Winning Alliance at 2018 RI FTC States American Computer Science League (ACSL) Team, Barrington High School, Barrington, RI September 2014-May 2018 Co-Captain

● Selected to be a student representative for the $45,000 maker space; showcased the lab to RI Governor Gina Raimondo

● Worked alongside teachers and school principal to design the lab, determining which machines and programs to purchase

● Served as the lab’s 3D printing expert/leader and educated students and teachers on all the equipment in the lab STEM Camp Advisor, St. Andrew’s School, Barrington,RI July-August 2017

● Taught 10-15 students ages 9-13 the basics of engineering through building and designing LEGO and metal robots as well as designing parts to be printed on 3D printers. The students built battlebots, dragsters, and other engineering projects

3D Printer (Prusa i3 model) & CNC Machine April 2014-September 2016

● Built a homemade 3D printer and CNC machine made of stepper motors, extruder/drill head, and an Arduino.

● Wired all electronics and calibrated the machines myself Robot Arm (For the Science Olympiad National Competition) September-April 2018

● 3D-designed and built a robotic arm made up of over 25 3D-printed parts I designed with my friend in Autodesk Inventor.

● The arm featured a master-slave control system and picked up stacks of pennies and placed them in scoring zones SKILLS & INTERESTS
