Pricing Tenders using the CANDY software. Prepare the necessary Resources Unit Rates (Labor, Plant and Material) and placed it in the Candy file for pricing the Civil Works. Prepare all the different PACKAGES that will be sent to all the Sub-Contractors and Suppliers for the purpose of obtaining competitive Quotations. These PACKAGES refers to the ITEM OF WORKS measured in the BOQ. The sending of the BOQ should be accompanied by the corresponding Drawings, Specifications and Tender Circulars. The pricing of Tender should be based on the actual quantities shown on the Drawings and the materials that are specified in the provided Specifications. The list of approved VENDORS issued by the Client/Consultant should also be considered in pricing.

Review and check all the received Quotations and input these at the SUBCONTRACT ADJUDICATOR in the CANDY file for comparison purposes. Adopt the Quotation which are listed in the approved VENDOR’s List and at the same time complies with the required Specifications and having a very competitive price.

Review & check the provided drawings in coordination with the Civil & MEP QS in order to compare the BOQ provided by the client. Prepare the Request for Clarification Form which will be sent to the Client/Consultant for all the item of works that are found to be under-measured or un-measured.

Review and check the Tender Documents in full coordination with the Materials Engineer to look for Specification discrepancies. Prepare the Request for Clarification Form which will be sent to the Client/Consultant for all the items of works that has specification discrepancies.

Prepare Request for Clarification Form to be sent to the Client/Consultant for missing BOQ items, detailed Drawings and particular Specifications.

Review and check all Tender Circulars issued by the Client/Consultant to look for any changes/revision of Specifications, Drawings and BOQ. Coordinate with the prospective Sub- Contractors and Suppliers for any Cost Implication that will arise due to the said Tender Circulars.

Coordinate with the MEP Sub-Contractors for any EXCLUSIONS they made in their Quotation and prepare Costing for these EXCLUSIONS so that it will be incorporated in the Final MEP price. Normally, MEP Sub-Contractors do not price Civil Works.

Prepare the Proposed Tender Bid Cost using the Candy Software by adopting all the specified and competitive Quotations and the take-off Quantities prepared by the QS. All Tender Circulars, updated BOQ, revised Drawings and Specification should always be in consideration in pricing.

Prepare quantity take off for all items shown in the drawings which are required for reconciliation in monthly for a measurable contract.

Estimate must be summarized as per format in the bill of quantity. This will be used as a back up for the monthly billing.

Review the contract document in order that we have a full knowledge in the project when there is conflict in document which will lead for a variation order.

Daily monitoring at site for updating of completed works. If there are item of works that are not shown in Tender drawing but are shown in for construction drawing it must be reported immediately to QS Manager for variation order.

All quantities needed for variation order must be prepared and submited to QS manager for Cost Proposal.

Organise quantity take off together with the attachment like drawings or written instruction from the client. These documents will be used in the reconciliation to satisfy the clients representative in the approval of monthly billing and any variation encountered.

Prepare weekly report to Q.S. Manager showing quantity completed and manpower actual utilization.

Prepare monthly invoice to be check and approve by Q.S. Manager. Invoice must have a back-up reference.

Compare actual quantity against quantity in the BOQ.
