Construction Survey of I-85/385 Gateway, a design/build project consisting of approx. 12 miles of relocation/widening existing travel lanes, secondary roads and construction of 12 new bridges, including 2 fly-overs. Duties include geodetic control traverse, set-up and localization of differential GPS network, slope staking and bluetopping roadway surfaces, as- builts of existing and surveying new underground utilities, staking R/W and wetlands. Surveying and xyz monitoring of retaining, MSE and soil nail walls, setting control for 3D laser equipment control. Staking bridge piling, abutments and end bents, Staking blast points, cross sectioning overburden areas and topography/quantity surveys of borrow pits. Utilization of static, RTK and VRS GPS, robotic total station and differential level layout while working in a project DTM (digital terrain model) or some areas, a TIN (triangulated irregular network).
