Position: Lead Developer

Perpetual data's like short and long are received from the different stores with the inventory details. The long and short perpetual files are processed when the received store and stock number are valid. The validations include checking for store number, open date, close date etc. The processed stores details are fed into the database on a daily basis. If the store received is having the close date greater than 10 years from the current date the store is updated as closed store and it will be removed from the database, so that it will not be available for processing in the future. It also involved in migrating perpetual and financial accounting for regular retail store inventories which are not fully integrated from mainframe to RETEK systems. Integration included any changes needed to fully track inventory movement and book all financial journal entries related to inventory movement and disposition. Major migration activities include Journal entries to be created on RMS for a variety of merchandise adjustments, Stock ledger to support the physical inventory recap process similarly, decommission the existing Mainframe flow in the stores

Responsibilities:

Team of 11 people, 3 at onshore and 8 at offshore handling multiple modules at same time involving architectural design implementations.

Uniprise FSG application development is one of the biggest application under the UHG vertical.

The project involves development and maintenance of their legacy applications. The project is mainly an enhancement and development project for the Uniprise Small Group health insurance.

FSG is a complex system, which takes care of all financial related applications. It includes 18 applications, out of which 4 to 5 are complex; most of the projects done are under those applications. Apart from that, enhancements and maintenance are done on various requests from other departments of Uniprise.

Responsibilities:

Interacting with clients to understand more about the system and leverage the projects that were driven by Cognizant Technology Solutions.
