ACADEMIC PROJECTS
REAL ESTATE ANALYSIS
Analyze 24 years economic, governmental, stock market, employment, educational and residential real estate data and established three most influential categories of variables that control real estate market variation. The significant variable categories were inflation, interest rates and unemployment.
Built predictive model based on 15 years housing value, basic properties, location data to help middle income class people to find best property and location for investment.
Created regression models based on historical Boston Housing data and predicted the impact of neighborhood attributes on median house price variation.
SOCIAL & GOVERNMENTAL ISSUE ANALYSIS
Predicted the reasons of absenteeism at work place using various machine learning algorithms like K-means clustering, decision and classification trees, random forest, support vector machines and linear discriminant analysis.
Analysis performed on the Absenteeism at workplace dataset collected from UCI repository. The absenteeism in hours were grouped into three categories high, low and moderate so that the prediction could be made effectively using the machine learning. The analyses and predictions were made entirely using R programming and various packages that facilitated the training of the model using the commonly used Machine Learning algorithms
Performed risk analysis using Bayesian Belief Network on the importance of Gun Control Law enactment in United States based on Gun violence, Gun crime, Gun death data from US census data base and FBI data base.
Analyzed United states crime data and built regression models to answer the big question – Are immigrants in the United States more likely to commit crimes than American Born Citizens. Our analysis concluded immigrants are less likely to commit violent crimes than U.S. born citizens.
Performed analysis based on Demographical, Economical, Income, Job market, Inflation, Political, Weather, Housing price data to find the causality between population migration and the factors. As per our predictive models, education, job market and taxes caused interstate migration in United States in since 2005.
HEALTH ANALYSIS
Analyzed 20 Fitbit data to predict sleep patterns of people working in Corporate world or desk jobs.
Created Tableau dashboard to analyze 90 days data from iPhone Health application to visualize patterns of daily and monthly calorie burn, weight loss, heart rates fluctuation, activities, daily walking patters. Also generated seasonal and yearly data to forecast relationship between walking patterns, calorie burn and weight loss.
