** Responsible for start up of a new ECU unit (mass March 2019).
** Previous Denso experience in Production two other line start ups which included travel to Japan for training.

** Responsible for 3 group leaders, 28 full time associates and 22 contract labor.
** Shipping, Receiving, Service Parts, repack process and tote maintenance.
** Kaizen quality circles. Supported this past years Kaizen quality circle team to the company wide competition.
I am proud to have been part of the first ever team at DLNT to finish an improvement project and place in the presentation competition where they traveled to Maryville and placed 2nd. This coming year there are three strong, new circles.

Responsibilities at Superior Essex
1.Supervisor for magnet wire rework process
I was hired to improve overall wire magnet rewind process by reducing wire magnet rework and increase rewind output. Within the first month there was a 30% improvement to output and rework.
Excessive rewind stock had accumulated over months where as I was able to combine like wire to produce full spools.
2.Responsible for weekly chemical inventory / ordering.
** Process engineer resigned - took over this responsibility.
Responsible for weekly chemical supply and oils used within the production facility.

I have worked on numerous project improvement teams throughout my career at Denso. Being a project lead where I was responsible for presetting a plan which involved various department members (ie Quality, PE, Safety, production, etc) and at times outside suppliers.
Kaizen Circle Lead
●All my kaizen circles have presented their material in the internal plant competition.
●Placing in the top 8 of an average of 89 circles plantwide.
●5 circles have gone into the Company wide placing top 4 or below of 10.
●2 circles have gone to the next level of competition competing against other companies.
●1 of my circles was invited to Japan for their competition.
All the above occurred during my 24 years at Denso in Maryville, TN.
●Since working at Denso Warehouse, located in Mt Juliet, Tn, the team I was responsible for won their first company wide kaizen competition where they traveled to Marville to compete against other seasoned circles placing 2nd.
Examples of a couple of the many Tangible Results I have achieved:
1.Reduction of Electrical Inspection Check Defect & Scrap Activity:
Defect reduction results: 1.3% reduction against target of 1.5% reaching results at average of 0.20% over a 6 month period
Scrap reductions: expected scrap for an 8 month period was $7612, actual results were $1533
2.Manning Reductions: Activity 1 – worked with TIE member on this project where we worked with the line operators for their input on the overall line set up inefficiencies and in providing data to show the line was over staffed by one man power.
Activity 2 – worked with Team Leader on this project, again also working with the line operators to gain their input in overall line set up, evaluating inefficiencies through time studies determining the bottleneck process. The bottlenecks were identified, line processes adjusted and modified for ease
of operation. Recalculated the standard work and was able to remove an associate from each shift and surplus out to other lines in need.
Started as 2nd shift team leader. Transferred to 1st shift team lead - April 2018

●First time ever E&D class taught at DLNT. Rob Tingle supported - teaching 24 associates during July 16th slow down week with a mix of all three shifts associates and two group leads.
