To Whom It May Concern:
I am interested in applying to a part-time position in the field of Counseling.
In 1996, I graduated Iona College with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and in 2000 I received a Masters degree in Counseling from Seton Hall University. Since then I have worked in various settings with different populations. I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in NY State and opened a private practice in Ardsley. I also currently possess my Permanent NYS Certification in School Counseling.
My work experience began in the Mental health field and included: a Continuing Day Treatment Program, two Westchester psychiatric hospitals and the Valhalla Correctional Facility.
I then shifted gears and decided to work in a school setting. I worked
as a Guidance Counselor at a Catholic high school in NYC. Then, I started working for the NYC Department of Education at the middle school level and elementary school level. I supervised a Counselor Intern from Long Island University for over a year at both settings.
When viewing my resume, you can observe my vast work experiences that have taught me how to better assess children when in crisis. I am unique with employment of both clinic and school settings. I enjoy working with adolescents and know that I will be of an asset to your agency. Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Jodi D’Epiro
