Professional Accomplishments
Successfully designed & Implemented TPM programs on factory/production/warehouse/packaging floors.
I developed "Best Practices" that could be applied to all seventy nine corporate plants worldwide. Decreased shipping expenses by 100k and MRO costs by 83k during a one year period. I also led the effort to institute departmental specific budgeting at the plant where none existed prior
Lead a factory I.S. and filling equipment manufacturer team in the development of a communication/controls program that successfully allowed a third party check-weigher to control the product filler pump system. This was instrumental in reducing product "Give-away". Finished goods weight went from 8.18 lbs. avg. to 8.02 lbs. avg. Savings associated with this project was approximately 384k yearly
My 6-Sigma Training allowed me to drive production process improvement and Cost Reduction in every area of my career. One such project was rolled out to our other 20 North American plants for a combined estimated savings of almost 2 million in yearly savings.
Developed and implemented a computer based Production Process Control Program enabling product consistency as well as efficiency gains
Managed a number of facility expansion projects including building and utilities work.
Designed and implemented a new type of wastewater treatment for the facility that greatly reduced the chance of any N.O.V's. being issued by local regulatory agencies
Designed and managed a full rebuild/overhaul of the chilling system that yielded a net savings of approximately $26,745.00 yearly in chemical, energy and water savings
Managed Boiler System upgrades that increased the lifespan as well as reducing the amounts of chemicals necessary for maintenance upkeep
Instituted training specifications and developed an individual program to help each department team member to reach them. This was especially helpful in the areas of Boiler, Refrigeration, HVAC and Wastewater and Equipment maintenance
High degree of knowledge and experience managing both Union and Non-Union personnel
Collaborated with R & D to drive 275k of costs out of the packaging process by Designing and implementing a new type of liquid agitation system for pre-existing cooking vessels. This allowed for the even distribution of ingredients throughout the filling process without product degradation. Savings associated with this project were seen in a $650k
yearly reduction in packaging materials, a $210k yearly reduction in labor costs, a 25% gain in speed efficiencies 34% reduction in preparation time through designing a soup base heating system. This also resulted in a reduction of safety challenges experienced by Production staff members as well as a 50% reduction in product degradation caused by the existing pumping system by the implementation of a new pump lobe design.
I focus on Data driven analytics using Minitab and other process software when conducting research on projects and process improvements.
