Global Oncology Business Unit of Novartis is developing several applications for iPad devices named as “Launch Pads”. Launch pads are interactive sales applications specifically designed for Veeva Irep CRM which runs on iPad, used by Medical Representative to navigate to tools and resources in support of the dialogue with the HCP (Health Care Professionals) and staff (where appropriate).
The key services provided by the iPad Service Bureau to support and effectively manage iPad applications are to create, Localize, Deploy, Version Migration and Maintenance.

Description: USC - OCDB tool is a vast system that is used to manage millions of residential as well as commercial energy meters all over America, Australia and parts of Europe. While USC is the front-end portal made in Java, OCDB is the Oracle database back up. The entire system is located on Solaris 10 UNIX operating system.
The energy meters can send packet data over Radio Frequencies to the collector points which in turn push data to the central OCDB database. OCDB also has the logic of processing this packet data for meters depending on various business logics and present the on the front end, the USC portal. There are different kinds of reports that can be generated, various trends of energy consumptions can be deduced as well as billing of these energy meters can be done in OCDB. The main customers of this project are the utilities who produce energy. They not only use this tool for billing purpose but also for various research processes.
