SENIOR QA/QC COORDINATOR (Lusail Railway Transit, 2C2-2C3 Phase) MAY’15-PRESENT Highlights:

Lusail City has a comprehensive plan for establishing a network of light trains which will connect the various districts. These trains will connect to train networks which Qatar and other Arab Gulf countries plan on building in the future. The train network will have low energy consumption, supporting Qatar’s vision for continuous development and ensuring the project is environmentally friendly. The network is composed of four main tram lines extending over 30.5 kilometers underground and over ground and 36 passenger stations. In the southern part of the city, a 5.5 kilometers underground railway is under construction. Joining various residential districts across the city and serving the Marina, Energy City, Qatar Petroleum City and Qatar Entertainment City. The northern sector of Lusail City will have 24 stations at grade to serve the areas of Fox Hills district, the Northern Residential district, the Medical and Educational districts, the Golf district and to Lusail City’s plaza at the heart of the city. Responsibilities:

Acts as the leader of the team of QC inspectors for internal control of the Section of LRT-Underground Stations & Tunnel Works.

Preparing Inspection Test Plan (ITP) as per approved Method Statement.

Auditing manufacturing companies prior to submitting for material approval.

Assist the Quality Manager in the review of Material Submittals & Method Statement.

Ensures all inspection activities are monitored for completeness and traceability.

Provides coordination with other departments and subcontractors as necessary.

Interfaces with other departments for production and quality-related schedules.

Assist Material Inspectors as necessary during material materials delivery.

Able to spot any issues or non-conformance that could potentially have an upstream effect.

Explains to the QC Inspectors their duties and interfaces to the various players involved

(QDVC construction department, subcontractors and suppliers).

Carry out in-depth investigations on quality issues and issuance of the corresponding QC Report or Quality Alert as required.

Provides leadership to the QC Inspectors in terms of site-related activities in relation to other departments as well as Employer representatives.

Ensures that the inspections carried out by the QC Inspectors satisfy the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).

LUSAIL DEVELOPMENT-Primary Infrastructure Project, DOHA, QATAR QA/QC ENGINEER (Lusail Project CP1: Sinohydro-Irinatech) MAY’14-APRIL’15 Highlights:

CP1 at Lusail development, infrastructure structures such as two reservoir pumping stations, two irrigation pumping stations as well as two storm water pumping stations with the connected networks and roads including some roads are on top of utility tunnels in the Marina District. Facility services for all structures. Infrastructure networks include District cooling pipe line, pneumatic waste chute in addition to PW/FF and irrigation networks. Project also includes 4 nos, of 66 Kv substations and 40 nos of 11 Kv substations.

Responsibilities:

Conduct daily site Inspection and supervision to ensure proper implementation of the project quality management plan as per the approved manual submitted at all stages works at site.

Check and review that approval of drawings, contract documents and instructions are fully coordinated to all site staff personnel directly involved prior to start of any work activity on site.

Daily coordination with construction staff/site team and client’s representative for inspection request schedules and approvals.

Supervised quality of workmanship and products on-site as per construction quality management plan

(Methods Statement, ITP, RFI, NCR, CAR).

Monitor all construction activities which can affect the quality of job.

Responsible to verify the execution of construction activities according to approved drawings and applicable project specifications.

Verify the construction areas prior to final Employer’s engineers inspection.

Responsible to attend scheduled inspections and comply with the comments issued by Employer’s Engineers.

Verify, inform and advise to site engineers for any job defect/deficiency in order to initiate the required preventive or corrective actions.

Confirm with Engineer’s that only the late revision of documents and drawings is available for inspection.
