I am a Certified Special Ed Teaching Assistant. I love what I do and have always been complimented on how well I do it. I have already taking a Psychology class to improve my knowledge of my current position. I am currently taking communications. I am a Level 1 with 6 credit hours so far and I am focused on getting to Level 3 within the time limit allowed . I have had several challenges in my years with ESM students and have loved to see the growth and accomplishments the students have made. I have had to work with kids with different disabilities.I have helped students to accomplish personal goals and to become independent as they focus on their personal goals and challenges. I have worked in Life skills classes and helped kids understand and accomplish daily life skills needed to accomplish daily tasks in life, Shopping, Hygiene, etc. I have worked in Kindergarten working with something as hard as filling a backpack and pack up independently to go home. Helping them to write their names and have confidence in what they are learning,To see them read sight words and learn to read. I try to make every day's challenge a happy experience. I am currently in the High School working on staying focused and sensory walks as needed. I do help with some classwork when needed, but would like more responsibilities.
