responsible to request INS forms, money deposits on a daily basis that are taken to Entry, evidence supplies,
cartridge for every computer, and request money for the meter machine that is used to weight the Immigrant
Visas that are mailed out to the Dallas District Office. I am also responsible to take the cartridges to be
recycled at Office Depot. I am responsible to pick up uniforms that are ordered by the CBP Officers at Paso
Del Norte Port of Entry. I am responsible to pick up empty A files at the Citizenship and Immigration Office. I
am also a cashier at Bridge of Americas to charge I-94at the port of entry, humanitarian permits. I am
responsible to order supplies from Office Depot and request boxes from the US Post Office. Also I ship
Immigrant visas to the Dallas District Office. I also charge out A files to Records, US Processing Center and
to other port of entries.
I am responsible to update the BOA- A file tracking, deposits for the shifts, and daily tour reports for
those days, quarterly statistics, narcotics statistics on those who are apprehended at the port of entries and
including Cubans, credible fears, impostors, and those who were smuggling narcotics. I was responsible to
pick up sack lunches, blankets at the El Paso Processing Center for those who are claiming political asylum,
or those who entered the Port of Entry illegally, and I would help CBP Officers' in patting down females to
assist the officers.

I am responsible to fingerprint individuals using the IDENT SYSTEM for Immigration purposes in
verifying the status of the individual who was being questioned by the officer. I am responsible to log in all
fraudulent documents by time intercepted, date, Enforce #, and CBPO Officer who processed the case, and
make copies of all the paperwork necessary to be given to the property officers on a daily basis. I prepare
memorandums to the American Consulate when DSP-150 Laser Visa are mutilated and are not machine
readable. Furthermore, I collect fees from (I-94's, I-90, NAFTA, I-193, liquor duty fees, and tow bars, and
Agricultural Penalties Fees, and other fees) and other services provided at the port of entry.
My accomplishments and Skills:
As incoming phone calls with the public or with the Supervisor were answered in a professional
manners, and I can translate from Spanish/English documents, and learned to help with FLEET at the Admin
Office, and complied with orders that were given to me in a professional manner without hesitation. If I had

IMMIGRATION INFORMATION OFFICER
I was responsible for answering telephone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. I was
responsible to update the applicant's change of address using either Claims LAN, GUI (Graphic User
Interface) and provided the applicant over the phone approximate time that they will receive a respond from
the Adjudicator. I would check the Inter agency Border Inspection System where I would input the applicant's
last name, date of birth and if it revealed in IBIS I would refer the case immediately to the Supervisor for
further review.
Furthermore, those who were applying for Permanent Resident Card/Adjustment Status, or other
Immigration services, I would mail out letters to the applicant and their attorneys. For an Employment
Authorization Card, or Advance Parole to be approved all documents have to be provided by the applicant or
their attorney, because without evidence there case will be returned as denied. Applicant's that were denied
a letter was send to their home address, or their representative letting the applicant know the reasons for the
denial.
I was responsible to check IBIS Mainframe, review, verify and complete file reviews of I-821
(Temporary Protected Status) utilizing the Adjudicating Mainframe. I was responsible to update,
review and complete file reviews on Naturalization Applications (N-400) utilizing the INS Intranet
System. I was responsible in adjudicating the I-102 (Non-Immigrant Arrival Departure Documents). I was
responsible to research cases in the Immigration Central Index System using Non-Immigrant Information
System with their Passport Number, last name, first, and date of birth of applicant.
I assisted in the SWIP 2002 conducted at the Texas Service Center as a PQAO Runner where I assisted
in researching and correcting errors in the inventory of files in the office(s). During the week of SWIP, was
responsible to follow Standard Office Procedure in adjudicating and completing I-821 (Temporary Protected
Status Application) for El Salvador, and Hurricane Mitch, and the I-765 (Application for Employment
Authorization Document).
Accomplishment and Skills:
As an Immigration Information Officer, I was able to translate documents from English to Spanish, a
incoming phone calls from applicant's, representatives, or other officers were handled in a professional
courteous way. I would let the applicant know the status of their immigration their Employment Card, and the

As an Application’s Clerk for the Examination Unit of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service,
I was responsible for answering telephonic inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
I would respond to inquiries to the public in a courteous and professional manner concerning their
Immigration Status, Citizenship, Naturalization, Advance Paroles, Petitions and Replacement of their
Alien Registration Cards.
I was responsible for the EADS (Employment Authorization Documents), Combined Monthly
Worksheet Reports, EADS Statistical Report, I-512 Parole Authorization Report, all of which are
completed efficiently with little or no errors. On a monthly basis, I was responsible to submit and fax
these reports to INS Headquarters for tracking El Paso INS District issuance of EAD’s and Advance
Paroles. I maintained the Combined Monthly Worksheet, kept inventory of supplies, and laminates
for the EADs cards to include walk-ins, material witnesses, from Border Patrol and the Investigations
unit. I submit a monthly report to Julie Chavez, Supervisory District Adjudicator Officer, for EAD
Issuance, laminates, film, and a precise count of how many EADs were issued and denied during that
month.
I was responsible for obtaining supplies and any problems with the equipment, documents or
reports for the EAD operation were immediate resolved at the lowest level possible and management
was immediately advised of the problem and resolved. I was responsible for maintaining a log of all
EADs and entering the Advance Parole in XBETS (Buffalo Examination Tracking System). I was
responsible for inputting daily the EADs and Advance Parole using Microsoft Excel Program. I was
responsible for preparing purchase card transaction worksheet for SDAO signature for the purchase of
film, computer toner, and equipment for the EAD and other supplies. I was responsible for updating
applications processed on the EAD database on a daily basis.
I maintained the security of camera equipment on a daily basis. I was responsible for fingerprinting and
photographing applicants receiving their EADs (Employment Authorization Cards). I was responsible for
submitting EAD and Advance Parole Statistics to the Supervisor for their G-22 report. Additionally, I was
responsible for auditing I-688A and I-688B laminates for the purpose of how many laminates where used for
that month.
I implemented the Standard Office Procedures step by step process in the issuance of Employment
Authorization Documents, and the requirements required in issuing the Employment Authorization
Document to the applicant.
I was assigned the responsibility of Time and Attendance (T/A) Clerk for the Examination Unit using
STAR (System for Time and Attendance Reporting). The Examination Unit is comprised of
approximately 26 employees of various positions and grades for which I was responsible to track all
pay and leave to include grade change, step increases, incentive awards, and annual leave and sick
leave balances, and prepare a Daily Time and Attendance Worksheet every pay period using Microsoft
Word.
I was responsible to audit each employee’s leave on the Error Report Analysis on a bi-weekly basis,
under procedures set by the National Finance Center (NFC). If corrections were necessary, I would
follow procedures and guidelines set by the National Finance Center. I was responsible for submitting
a weekly memorandum for employees who were on Continuation of Pay due to injury on the job.
At the same time, I was responsible in submitting a memorandum for those Immigration employees
who used Annual, Sick Leave, or Family Leave. I was responsible to input the officer’s name, grade,
and overtime hours on a bi-weekly basis, and submitting a memorandum to Supervisor District
Adjudicator Officer Julie Chavez.
While I processed the Time and Attendance, I worked with minimal supervision and all reports were
submitted to the personnel office in a timely and accurate manner. I was responsible for submitting
the T/A reports timely and accurately. I was assigned the responsibility of the Employment
Authorization Documents (EAD) in the issuance of the EAD, verifying date of birth, requesting proper
identification and securing the EAD laminates issued by the Immigration Information Officer. I was
responsible to make decisions when it deals with the fees of the I-512 Advance Paroles, I-765
Employment Authorization Documents, and the Adjustment of Status Applications, and I-90
Replacement of Alien Registration Cards, with minimal supervision from the Immigration Information
Officer. I was the permanent point of contact for the Employment Authorization Documents as
needed by the Immigration Information Officers.
During this time, I worked with minimal supervision and completed this assignment(s) efficiently with
little or no errors.
In the Examination Unit, I trained Immigration Clerks, Contract Clerks in the Standard Operational
Procedures for processing Employment Authorization Cards, Combined Monthly Worksheet Reports,
EADS Statistical Reports, I-512 Advance Paroles Reports, and Time and Attendance using the new
update programs. I trained Anita Brunson, Application Clerk on how to prepare the Combined Monthly
Worksheet, EADS Statistical Reports, I-512 Advance Parole Statistics, and reports that needed to be
submitted to Supervisor Adjudicating Officer Julie Chavez on a monthly basis for statistical purposes.
I was the point of contact for Employment Authorization Document (EADs), I-512 (Advance Paroles),
N565 (Application for Replacement Naturalization/Citizenship Document), requesting files from FCO’s
for all unit personnel and I-130 petitions (Alien Relative Petitions) from the National Visa Center. In
addition, I was the point of contact for the Intranet, and Time and Attendance. Every month, I was
responsible for submitting a monthly G-22 report to program analysis Susana Torres using Microsoft
Excel for the I-512 Advance Paroles and I-485’s (Adjustment of Status) for statistical purposes.
I was responsible for scheduling ASC appointments directly from the District Office to the applicant, to
ensure that fingerprints are cleared faster and cases are scheduled in a timely manner. I was
responsible for timely scheduling of appointments to District Adjudicating Officers. I was responsible
for mailing appointments notices and G-56 (Notice to Appear for Interview) for persons applying for
work authorization, travel documents, and Adjustment of Status.
I was responsible for preparing the temporary form I-94 (Legal Permanent Resident Alien) cards,
fingerprinting the applicant for the DAO before the Adjustment of Status interview, and mailing the
temporary I-551 certified to their residence. I was responsible to request Initial Evidence for I-485
(Adjustment of Status) when sufficient document is not provided.
I was responsible for updating change of addresses on the Microsoft Intranet and on the Computer
Linked Application Information Management System (C-4 database). My Spanish language and ability
allowed me to assist District Adjudicating Officers with translations during Adjustment of Status and
Naturalization Interviews. Because of my diligent work, the Examination Unit recently received an
Outstanding (100% accuracy) rating from CENCOR.
I assisted Supervisors, Attorneys and the general public in the 245(i) Legal Immigration and Family
Equity (LIFE) deadline by reviewing adjustment applications submitted to the El Paso District Office
under this program. Furthermore, I assisted in status inquiries from the general public, Congressional,
Attorneys, VOLAGS, internal customers (INS).
I was responsible for inputting biographical data on all adjustment of status applications submitted to
the El Paso INS District to insure proper coding on all form I-181s (Creation of Record) issued out of
the El Paso INS District Office. At the same time, I am responsible for the I-512 Advance Parole that
consisted of verifying name, address and date of births, and place of birth. Besides I photocopy each
I-512 (Advance Parole) issued at the El Paso District Office, and it was hand delivered by a District
Adjudicator Officer to the applicant, and was to be validated at the Port of Entry by the Immigration
Inspector.
I assisted the DAO’s in both Federal and Administrative Naturalization ceremonies. I assisted the unit in
properly closing and coding the Naturalization cases after the oath ceremony.
As I was working overtime at the El Paso Del Norte Port of Entry, and I trained Ana Ramos
Investigations Clerk on the I-94 database in the issuing of permits to those traveling into the interior
of the United States. On how to key in accurately the applicants name, date of birth, and accurate
address, and fingerprints, using US Visit and other needed information before they applied for a
permit to enter the United States.
I was responsible for consolidating temporary files (T-files) with the Service files (A-file). I was
responsible for status inquiry of requesting files for the unit. I was responsible in assisting
Immigration Information Officer (IIO’s) in status inquiries from Claims 4 and manual N-400 cases.
In addition, I provided information to the general public regarding status inquiries on their adjustment
applications and priority dates. Furthermore, I utilized the INS Central Index System for conducting
name searches, FBI queries, and requisition of files.
I was responsible for the proper tracking of files utilizing the RAFACS (PC Receipt and A file
Accountability and Control System). I was responsible for sorting mail timely and properly filing
correspondence as assigned to its proper location. I was the point of contact for requesting files from
FCO’s for all unit personnel, and I-130 petitions (Alien Relative Petition) from the National Visa Center.
I was responsible for the distribution and proper filing rap sheets for both the adjustment and the
naturalization applications, consolidation of T-files with service A-files, requesting and the intranet.
Additionally, I used to assist the Immigration Information Officers (IIO’s) at the Information Window
with inquiries or status inquiries, related to applications and benefits such as Citizenship, Adjustment
of Status, Employment Authorization Documents, Naturalization, Advance Paroles, Petitions and
Replacement of Resident Alien Cards.
I was responsible for typing N-600 (Children derive Citizenship from the Parents) and N-565
(Replacement of their Citizenship Certificate) verifying date of birth, name and pictures are correct
before issuing the certificate to the applicant. I was responsible for the Golden Oldie Report
Consolidated N-400 Pre-January 15, 1999 and the purpose of this report was to gather statistics for
N-400 for Central Region that have being in our office since 1998.
On January 29, 2002, I assisted the Examination Unit at the Naturalization Ceremony held at the
Chamizal National Memorial in El Paso, Texas. I was responsible for crowd control, where I escorted
visitors to their perspective seat before the ceremony started. Furthermore, I would process
applicants prior to the ceremony, where I verified their date of birth, I-551 (Alien Registration Card),
and answer questions before the ceremony.
DETAILS:
I was detailed to the Ysleta Port of Entry, Dedicated Commuter Lane due to my knowledge in
coordinating and researching of records and files for the El Paso District Examination Unit, for the El
Paso District Office. Details was on March 18, 2002 through March 22, 2002.
ACCOMPLISHMENT AND SKILLS:
As an Application Clerk at the Examination Unit, I treated individual on a one to one basis professional,
courteous and I was willing to help in the Examination Unit, and Records Unit with the Employment
Authorization Cards, Time and Attendance with Examination. I also implemented the Standard Office
Procedure handbook in how to do the Employment Authorization Cards and also trained others in the
systems. I would also help other applicant's who had questions and they were answered, and if it needed to
