Responsible for counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Developed efficient ways to tackle food waste by implementing standardized work and implementation of 5S to improve workplace efficiency.

Prioritized, assigned, reviewed duties and work activities to meet productivity goals.

Recognized and resolved production and quality issues through Corrective Action Plans.

Involved in planning, organizing, procurement and monitoring resources to achieve efficient use of labor, equipment, and resources.

Engineering associate, Supreme Automotive, May 2015 – May 2016) Duration: 12 months

Performed activities in coordination with other departments including process improvement, evaluation, analysis and documentation.

Developed, monitored, analyzed, and improved KPIs for assigned projects.

Successfully led Kaizen events like 5s, Kanban, DMAIC along with other six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, value stream mapping and CAPA.

Inspected welding defects, dimensional accuracy of parts and generated rejection and rework reports for parts deviating from allowable tolerance limits.

Identified causes for rejection by the implementation of root cause analysis, fishbone diagram and 5 Why analysis and used corrective and preventive actions to further avoid those problems from occurring in future, thus reducing the rate of rework by 65%.

Analyzed statistical process control charts to monitor and validate the stability of processes.

Successfully managed to reduce the processing time of documents from 6 hours to 3 hours by creating an excel template with help of VBA which was based on a form format with dropdown lists and radio buttons which reduced errors since it was designed to be error proof.

Reduced overall cycle time by 12% by eliminating transportation waste.

Created, tracked and recorded purchase orders and submission of checklists using software like Visual IMPEX and ONS.

Scheduled and tracked dates, maintained and sorted daily minutiae to long term records with the extensive use of Microsoft Excel.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS:

Continuous Improvement of CHPL industry by implementing K-TIG welding and studying the cost analysis:

Brief Description: The cost analysis was done to replace the conventional TIG welding with key hole TIG welding. K TIG welding being cheaper along with being much quicker, better quality and with better finish, has many more advantages over conventional TIG welding.

Advanced Simulation: Simulation analysis of a gas station, Kalamazoo, Michigan:

Brief Description: The objective of the project was to reduce the waiting time of the customers in a petrol bunk during the peak hours and providing separate waiting area for the customers in order to avoid obstruction using the software like PROmodel.

Design of Experiment; Destructive Testing of Catapult:

Brief Description: Performed regression analysis on the design of a catapult by developing factorial design in Minitab; evaluated results in order to identify significant factors such as the p-value, z levels, and one and two factorial designs and their interactions.

Effect of Process Parameters of Friction Stir Welding of Dissimilar Alloys:

Brief Description: Two dissimilar alloys are joined without melting of base metals. In this process a cylindrical shouldered tool with a profiled pin is rotated and plunged into the joint area between two pieces of material. This ensures a strong weld between the alloys.

Performance evaluation of Indirect Evaporative Cooler:

Brief Description: A project to maximize the efficiency of indirect cooling in refrigeration and air conditioning – in which various parameters were optimized for maximizing the efficiency of the air conditioner. Working with a team of four, the aim was to make an ‘All Year Round Air Conditioner’ which would be generously efficient and can be used throughout the year.

EXTRACURRICULAR:

Represented in SUPRA SAE Event as a member of managing team during second, third and fourth year of engineering.

Participated in ‘Will it Drift?’ event as member of organizing team during second year.

Assisted in organizing in the Workshops and Seminars of ‘The Auto Quotient’ throughout the engineering course.
