Implemented Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Integration Process following company merger in July 2004. This project included environmental, safety plan development, instituting facility EHS auditing programs and an intensified employee training program to bring the facility into compliance with all corporate, federal, state and local EHS regulations
Implemented product evaluation program to ensure compliance to the new European Union Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (EU-RoHS) and the new Waste Electrical and Electronics Equipment (WEEE) directives. The program also included review of the REACH program as well.
Implemented new 3E MSDS (Third Party) database program to organize all material safety data sheets in the company and to inventory and quantify all materials being used in the facility to ensure compliance with Federal EPA Form R reports, Massachusetts Form S Reports and Air Emission Permits.

Implemented a new Hazardous Waste Management program for the facility which included a new tracking system for hazardous wastes and materials, universal waste and non-regulated waste materials

Developed and responsible for a new hazardous waste management program for (3) manufacturing facilities. Program involved management of both process generated and recovered ground water (i.e. oil / halogenated solvent wastes) from an on-going site remediation project.
Developed and implemented a new company safety training program which included a written safety manual and policy and conducting employee safety training on an annual basis.
Researched new aqueous degreasing processes and chemical alternatives to replace existing toxic solvent (i.e. trichloroethylene) vapor degreasing process. Project involved working with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Affairs, Office of Technical Assistance.
Coordinated and worked with Outside Licensed Site Professional and Remedial Engineering firms to estimate groundwater remedial options in our Clinton, Massachusetts facility. The project included a phase I and phase II Comprehensive Site Investigation under the guidelines of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan 310 C.M.R. 40.00
Coordinated the installation of a “Dual High Vacuum Extraction” groundwater/wastewater treatment system to remove oil and halogenated solvents from contaminated soils beneath the facility in Clinton, Massachusetts. The project involved on-going operation and maintenance, monitoring of the treatment system, periodic gauging of test and monitoring wells and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to EPA Region I and the Massachusetts DEP.
Instituted and completed formal facility environmental/safety audits for all three facilities. Developed project lists and capital budget programs to include toxic use reduction efforts, savings in company liability and workmen’s compensation.
Conducted research on the existing electro polishing process in our Jaffrey, New Hampshire facility to maximize chemical use and reduce hazardous waste production.
