Incipio Technologies, 5/2018 – Present Distribution Center Manager

Responsible for all activities relating to warehouse operations, including developing strategic departmental initiatives and meaningful metrics to effectively manage, perform, and monitor all aspects of Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, Production Management and Safety. Effectively coach, mentor, develop, and trained mangers, supervisors, 10 direct reports and 75 warehouse team members. Established a safe and clean work environment by implementing a site-recognized safety program that also complies with legal and environmental regulations.

Major Contributions:

Consolidated two large distribution operations (one out-of-state and one in-state) into one local 320,000 sq. foot operation, while simultaneously successfully shipping and receiving from the consolidated operation.

Successfully passed 3 physical inventory audits within 6 months of working for the company. The first audit was an annual physical audit. The second audit was a bank requested audit. Lastly was one of our major customer’s physical audit.

Established and implemented SOP’s throughout the operation. Also initiated and implemented productivity standards throughout the operation.

Reduced operation cost by 25% within six months of being hired.

Yokohama Tire Corporation, 2006 – 2017 Distribution Center Manager

Operated a 658,000 square foot facility, three full time shifts with three separate operations within one facility. Partner with Corporate Senior Manager, Senior Division Directors, Divisional Vice Presidents and various corporate leaders to establish annual business strategies. Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to develop and implement site strategies for creating and improving processes and procedures in order to improve the organization and financial performance. Lead the center’s performance improvement plan and Operational Excellence (OP-EX) initiatives while ensuring a data-driven and results oriented approach.

Major Contributions:

Implement a cost saving initiative that resulted in a 30% operation cost reduction in 2017 with a $3.5 million operating budget. Reduce a $4 million operating budget by 15% in 2016.

Develop and implement a workforce analysis that evaluate the current headcount, forecast the optimal headcount and competencies needed to meet the needs of the operation. Create new employee development programs including, New Business Process training, Orientation training, Supervisor training and establish both department and individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI). This successful initiative resulted in a 20% reduction in turnover in 2016, increase in employee performance and decrease in absences, while reducing cost at a record low in 2016.

Effectively managed an average on-hand inventory of approximately 650,000 units with a monthly, total handling average volume of 723,000 units in a fast-paced environment.

Consistently exceeded annual inventory accuracy goal by maintaining an overall inventory accuracy of 99.5% or higher each year.

Established annual site safety initiatives that lead to 11 years of zero OSHA recordables, resulting in outstanding recognitions by Yokohama Tire Corporation.
