Hitachi Rail Test Technician.

October 2018 - Present.

The testing inspection and repair of Light Rail Trains at the NFTA in Buffalo New York, on behalf of Hitachi Rail. My duties include the testing of train subsystems diagnosis of problems and repair of systems. Both electrical and mechanical before refurbished trains are handed over to the NFTA. I am also responsible for all warranty work for a period of 18 months after. NFTA accept the train. This is a highly technical job requiring extensive electrical and mechanical knowledge and abilities.

Allied Circuits. Wireman.

September 2017 - September 2018.

Construction and wiring of electrical control panels, to customer specifications and standards. Low voltage wiring of control circuits up to 1000v both a.c. and d.c. Reading and following electrical control drawings and schematics. Experience with PLCs Rockwell automation, vfds, transformers, circuit breakers, servo packs and fusing. Working in a neat and timely manner.

Jagg Electrical and Control. Quality Control and Testing Manager. March 2014 - August 2017.

Duties primarily the quality control and inspection of medium voltage switchgear lineups, control panels and control houses. Functional testing of all circuits, hipot testing of all phasebus within switchgear units. Inspection of all components to meet drawing specifications. Oversee design and in-house manufacture of copper phase bus. Quality control of drawings both mechanical and electrical schematics before they are sent to shop floor, make such changes as are required by errors or job requirements. Liaise with shop floor supervisors throughout construction process to ensure compliance with drawings and standards. Field service calls oversee on behalf of Jagg the installation and commissioning of switchgear and Control houses as required. I was also heavily involved with the physical construction and wiring of all units. Training of shop floor personnel. Hayden Switchgear Products. Shop Foreman.
