PROJECT MANAGER, TAYLOR HOLLOW CONSTRUCTION LLC (2017 TO 2019)

Provided design and construction oversight for a small property management and construction firm.

oProjects included a multi-phased effort to repurpose an elementary school into a 16-unit senior living facility, design and construction of a community kitchen, craft brewery and pub, and a local food restaurant. Construction was classified as historic rehabilitation and meeting VHDA standards for low to moderate income families and Earthcraft testing and certification standards for energy efficient construction.

oCompleted design reviews and changes, and coordinated utility connections and inspection requirements with county/state officials.

oDeveloped, bid and negotiated construction subcontracts for multiple trades and large material purchases.

oManaged a historical rehabilitation effort of three retail spaces and four apartments as part of the Pulaski VA West Main Street development initiative.

oTeamed with designers, program and project managers to finalize design documents to meeting the Assemble Chemical Weapons Alternative (ACWA) and a rigorous quality control program to support the destruction of aged chemical weapons.

oMigrated a decentralized system (Wang miniframe with COBAL 85 OS) to a centralized process (HP main frame with UNIX OS) to five DOD mega-centers, consolidating data management and call centers throughout the Air Force.

1989-1992, Chief, Civil Engineering Operations, Area 10, Nevada Test Range.

oNow unclassified, managed the day-to-day facilities and infrastructure operations of the Tonopah Test Range installation for the F-117A Stealth Fighter Program.

oManaged a 7/24, 260-person military-civilian contract workforce in maintenance, operations and construction.

oServed as the Air Force project manager to relocate the 37th Tactical Wing to Holloman AFB, constructing 40-aircraft hangars and two squadron operations facilities, a maintenance facility and a secure compartmental information facility. The 400-day, $63M work was completed on-time, within budget and during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

oPossessed top secret security clearance with special background investigation.

oSupervised 10-local nationals and military personnel in construction inspection and contact surveillance. Completed 45 construction projects and administered seven service contracts valued at $75M.
