Project: Non-Pooled Assets Subledger Database

Ginnie Mae is setting up the Subledger database for the non-pooled assets. The solution supports an immediate need to bring the accounting for these assets up-to-date and will be maintained on an ongoing basis. The Subledger database solution uses existing tools and technologies that are available within the Ginnie Mae environment. Informatica PowerCenter is used for integrating data from MSS to ODS, Subledger database, Peoplesoft, SAP, Salesforce and NPA Financial data mart (FDM). Tableau will be used to retrieve the data from NPA FDM and produce standard subledger reports that will provide insight into the non-pooled assets accounting to the OCFO, that will be integrated with Salesforce.

The solution will source monthly transactions, balances and reference data for non-pooled assets from Ginnie Mae’s two Master Sub Servicers (Selene and Carrington) and load them into the Ginnie Mae Operational Data Store (GMODS) – Restatement ODS schema. Internal data stores within Ginnie Mae (RFS, MSS ODS (MOR)) are also referenced for reconciliation and traceability purposes. The data is then processed and loaded into NPA Subledger database that stores accounting event journal, detailed subledger transactions and balance snapshots. The summarized data is then sent to Ginnie Mae’s General Leger Accounting System (GFAS) that feeds into the Ginnie Mae’s financial statements. The NPA Finance Data Mart gets populated with the data from the subledger database and ODS to produce standard subledger reports.

Project included, Business Process Reengineering subject matter expert in support of Salesforce, Tableau implementations. The tasks include systems integration strategies and management, implementation, communications management with client, project planning, and risk management. Working to establish best practices agile development with Ginnie Mae Team.

FDA receives product and company registrations from various pharmaceutical companies, currently the process is manual and paper based. ESubmitter is a standalone Java based application, where end users can download and update product and company information. Once they are ready for submission, they can submit it to FDA’s electronic Gateway.

The application captures user input and transform’s it into XML structure, which is then used to exchange data between various systems within FDA. The standards followed are HL7, SNOMED, LOINC and ICD/CPT codes and E2B formats for implementing XML.

Generated Test Plans, for all registration process that needs to be tested. The Test plan includes Compatibility, Functionality, Usability and Testing procedures.
