RE: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- FT-Days

To Whom It May Concern:

I want to take this opportunity to inform you of my interest in obtaining a position as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with your group. I have recently graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation in August 2018. I obtained a Master of Science in nursing with a concentration in PMHNP. I have passed my board certification exam and I have obtained licensure through the Texas BON.

During my 360-hour clinical practicum, I received the benefit of establishing more experience in mental health as a PMHNP student at Texas Health Resources Behavioral health with the psychiatric interdisciplinary team. This familiarity has further prepared me for the patient population encountered in behavioral health, which fortunately provides a solid foundation for my current endeavor as a PMHNP.

I am seeking a position where I will be able to:

Develop trusting and therapeutic relationship with my clients by completing thorough psychiatric evaluations.

Provide client centered care and treatments based on evidence-based guideline by diagnosing according to the latest edition of the DSM and listening to the clients concerns and symptoms.

Guide clients into self-actualization and healing by using CBT, interpersonal therapy, supportive therapy, and brief therapy.

Provide mental health care in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.

Effectively manage client symptoms by initiating, adjusting, and continuously monitoring medication administration.

Improve client's self-awareness and knowledge regarding mental health illnesses and medications by educating on the proper use, drug interactions, and adverse drug reactions of medications and the course and prognosis of mental illnesses

I understand that your organization employs providers with these same characteristics, which has led me to inquire about a PMHNP position with your group. I ask that you review my attached resume below and consider me as a candidate for current and future positions.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Eva Kirara, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC
