Welding surveillance prior and after welding, inspect joint preparation, joint configuration and cleanliness. Verify use of pre-heat as specified, and the use of approved welding procedure specification. Visual examination of root passes, penetration, undercut, cracks, slag and porosity. Check completed joints for excessive reinforcement and other surface irregularities. Ensure that welders use assigned identification stamps.

Composition, Yield Strength, Tensile Strength and Dimensions.

To Find Scope of Work, and total quantity for each an every scope using Drawings and Documents, Update the daily Progress, Co-Ordinate with Engineer & Supervisors, Collecting Daily Information & Report from Sub Contractors and maintain a record. Prepare weekly Progress Report of the site and submit to the Necessary Officials. To Monitor and make a record of Activities going on at site

Preparing RFI, MRI, for fit up & welding for client

Verification of Calibration Document of Instruments and Gauges before offering for Third Party Inspection & verification of Drawing No. Product code, vendor code.

Evaluation and auditing of sub-contractors for services like Fabrication, Destructive, Non- Destructive testing, Post weld heat treatment, PMI, Galvanizing and Blasting/Painting.

Controlling the welding consumables and maintaining the Storing procedures as per code/standards.

Monitoring welding processes with pre and post-weld heat treatment process if any requirement as per code and drawings.

After welding, doing the final Visual Inspection and offering for Non-Destructive Testing as required.

Monitoring and Evaluation of MT, PT and UT jobs as per the internal and client’s approved Quality Plan by daily job allocation to operators.

During Passivation Inspections for SS Materials checking

Interpretation of Radiographic films & review of NDE reports and dimensional reports.

Witnessing Magnetic Particle & Dye Penetrate test. Witnessing Hardness test. Preparations of weld map and weld summary list.

Witnessing of Mechanical Testing (Tensile, Bend, Impact Etc,).

Inspecting the incoming materials for damages, dimensions and corrosions and ensure that MTC is available and according to the requirements

Conducting Quality Audit, Evaluation of Vendors, Raising SOR / NCR and resolving the same.

Line checking inspection test packages and punch listing

Preparation/verification of test packages

Conversant with various welding process such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and SAW.

Supervision of Pre-Heating and PWHT in line with concerned WPS/PQR.

Preparing the summary list of the qualified welders.

Coordinating and supervising PMI Technicians for performing PMI Test.
