New to Canada from the UK, I am an enthusiastic and confident individual with a wide variety of skills due to my work and education background. Through both my time studying International Relations at the University of Portsmouth and my previous roles for OVO Energy, I have continuously improved and refined my communication and time management skills, as well as stakeholder management. I have been able to gain skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, particularly in relation to data entry, and creating slideshow presentations and documents. I also have experience in an outbound sales environment working under pressure to meet strict targets. EXPERIENCE

OVO Energy - Field Force Trainer

November 2016 - October 2018

- Look after all learning and development for the department, including regular communications sent out to 200+ employees

- Running inductions for all new starters, including booking guest speakers, booking rooms, raising new starter tickets, delivering relevant training sessions

- Running development days training for our field based engineers, in areas such as career development, presentation skills, coaching and feedback

- Travelling nationwide to carry out field based quality assessments on our engineers, marking them on the customer service side of their installation

- Various reporting analysis on things such as: quality assessments completed, training clawbacks, drug and alcohol testing etc using Google Sheets/MS Excel

- Reviewing training and building new learning packages using Google Slides

- Meet with key stakeholders around the business to ensure smooth onboarding processes for new engineers

- Carry out Learning Needs Analyses amongst the team to ascertain training needs and write proposals for managers as a result of this

- Ad hoc projects to assist the team, such as helping out with tooling for new starters, helping with assessment centres and hiring, disciplinaries etc

- Ensuring all L&D documentation is up to date and compliant for annual audits, including signed versions of all policies, adhering to the Smart Metering Installation Code of Practice OVO Energy – Smart Experience Trainer

August 2016 – November 2016

Providing soft-skills and technical training to new staff in Industry Operations, as well as to both OVO's own engineering team and the third party contractors OVO uses. Running two week inductions for OVO's new engineers and travelling to train external contractors in various parts of the country, as well as helping to build OVO's 'Knowledge Base' - an online encyclopedic database designed to help improve staff knowledge. The role requires a deal of flexibility, and involves building strong relationships with key stakeholders, both within the company and with wider business partners.

OVO Energy – Outbound Energy Advisor

September 2015 – August 2016

Working as part of the In-Home Technology department, calling customers to offer them an upgrade to smart gas and electricity meters, involving liaising with engineers to ensure a smooth booking process from start to finish. There is a also a large amount of admin work involved, often having to send out letters, prioritise callbacks and deal with cancellations and rebookings, and a good amount of data entry tasks. This role has given me a wealth of experience in verbal communication whilst improving my administration skills. It has also required strong organisational skills and the ability to work to targets under pressure. I have also demonstrated a high level of adaptability, taking on a number of other tasks for other departments with very short notice, seeing them all through to completion. June 2014 – June 2015

Working as a team leader on the bar in a busy Hungry Horse chain pub. Duties mainly involved serving on the bar and managing stock/the cellar, as well as managing a team of people working on the bar. Also achieved my BIIAB Level 2 award in Beer and Cellar Quality

(Cask and Keg). This taught me all about cellar management and looking after the real ales. Sunrise Marquees – Labourer

June – August 2013

Summer work erecting marquees for events like weddings, festivals and other functions. Included working unsociable hours, travelling to a wide range of locations and 12 or 14 hour days.
