My designation here is a Design engineer.

We design & manufacture fixtures and special purpose machines.

We use Auto-cadd-2011& solid works-2012 tool.

Till now I have worked over 50 plus projects, I mean I have designed 50 plus fixtures & are successfully running over customer places

And I also worked over special purpose machine (conveyers), in which I took care of drafting part of the project & is successfully running in customer place.

Being a Design engineer my responsibilities are, interacting with customer directly regarding their requirements, prepare concept & DAP layout(design approval process) get approval from customer, then we design fixture accordingly, again get approval from customer.

Design process involves fixture design, prepare Bill of materials (BOM), fasteners list, long lead items (LLI) & drafting.

We also supervise assembly while our fixture is getting assembled.

If any problem arises in customer place we go to customer place & resolve problem associated with our fixture (we call it fixture prove out).

We used to build machine, paper ruling machine, paper cutting machine & folding machines

& sewing machines etc.

My responsibility is to prepare drawings (draftsman) of spare& additional parts to be manufactured.

Square hole drilling Machine

This project deals with design and building of square hole drilling machine, as we all are familiar with circular holes and we have machines to drill such holes but to drill a square hole we don’t have particular machines available & we face many difficulties in drilling square holes so we made an attempt to design & build particular machine for square holes and we are successful in completion of our project, we built the machine & we got the expected out come through our effort.

It was an in house project.

Duration of project : 4 months

Hardware used : Drilling machine, Lathe machine, Wire EDM, Milling machine& Grinding machine

We used CATIA & Proe Design tools to design drill bit & associated parts of square hole drilling machine.

We got it manufactured from outside but we closely & actively involved while it was getting manufactured in machine shop.
