Description:

The goal of this project is to publish newly launched funds. These funds get displayed across all web pages in the ‘Franklin Templeton’ web site. Upon selecting a particular fund the customer is navigated across the fund details pages which have fund name, number, CUSIP number and NASDAQ value, Prospectus and the whole check list w.r.t the particular fund for validation. The key note is that funds are interrelated across most other relevant details in the web site. Browser compatibility testing is performed as clients use different browsers for browsing (Franklin Templeton) sites. Some of the key browsers are IE, FF, Chrome & Safari.

Other than addition of new fund launches, Fund Rename of the existing funds and deleting closed funds from the data base are also done. This is verified by navigating to appropriate web pages.

Description:

The Franklin Templeton official web site has Bill boards, Banners and commentary pages which display information about the latest fund details and Investment policies. Previously the system will have dependency on the developers to add and modify the new content to a webpage but CMS helps in reducing developer’s dependency as the pages content are stored in database, not in the file server. This project enables QA team with subject matter expertise to make the content changes which reflects in the website dynamically with the help of Team Site INTERWOVEN content management system tool through Metadata and DCT page. As this information’s are highly sensitive as it deals with lots of customers’ investments, this project was supposed to be a huge project which was a great success in late 2010 and got appreciation from all the Clients.

Description:

CAVEAT’s are the Important Legal information and Footnotes. These are the legal information which needs to be displayed in all web pages of the Franklin Investments/Funds web site. The Foot note has the latest Copy rights details in legal information and also has the Terms & Conditions which corresponds the latest economic terms for the particular country and investments made by the customer. .

From QA perspective, all webpages are validated across different languages (36 countries/48 languages) across all the web pages in the web site. Browser compatibility testing is performed across all the highly used browsers and certified for the same.

Executed Test Cases to check the functionality of the application.
