and shipment of Acrylic Latex.

Responsibilities:

Operate two 30,000 gallon reactors in a 25+ employee environment and manage 2nd shift with one other employee. I have an excellent attendance record.

Daily use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

Submits all batching paperwork to management.

Handles final QC checks for viscosity, PH, and specific gravity on all products. Condense water off batches to reach a specific viscosity.

Works with water base product including formaldehyde and ammonia. Reaction chemistry used to make glues and resins.

Skilled Formulator: Knowledge of formulations with mathematics including the adjustment of solids, amount of pigment solids, general basic knowledge of color poundage allowances on basecoats and enamels.

Experience in formulations involving glazes, fill glazes, along with changes in alkyds, inserts and blown soybean oil and other oils.

Experience with vinyl coatings including the matching of blues and greens and the use of vinyl washcoats and sealer in enhancement of these coatings. Limited training in working with inks and ink sealers.

Fluent in mentally calculating percentages and in tinting by hand.

Computer experience with timely locating formulas and sales data in the system and adjusting to upgrades.

Matching abilities:

NGR stains, orasol dye stains, extensive work with different blends and dry schedules.

Rel-stains in fast and slow drying qualities of different color combinations.

Spray-outs such as enamels and basecoats including several off-whites

Wiping stains with various different solvent blends. Success with making several matches of lower cost penetrating stains with flow outs of slower solvent blend materials.

Applied spare time learning to formulate clear coatings. Also worked with clear vinyl, nitrocellulose products, sealers, wash coats and other materials used.

Responsible for gathering the different types of materials from storage area with excellent working knowledge of their names and where to find them.
