Researches & graduation project:
Graduation project: Deaf Cultural Center
The objective of this project is to unite culturally and sociably the deaf with the society, and to provide the proper cultural facility.
The center was divided into main four functions:
•The exhibition.
•The amphitheater.
•Crafts hall.
•The library.
The main purpose for the design scheme was to create the atmosphere to encourage their skills and capabilities, in addition to supporting the center with the appropriate facilities; I achieved this purpose through the following:
1- Creating lighting paths in walls and ceilings, light changes to convey certain states, like red light for emergencies. 2- Employ the art of lights & shadows as an educational tool, therefore I used special cloth and lighting as display screen in the walls of the exhibit and amphitheatre. 3- To focus on the importance of sign language, in the library I used successive glass panels on each of them a hand sign, so that all of them forms the word LEARN.
