As you will read in my resume, I am a leader and have strong team building skills. I pride myself in getting respect from all the employee to obtain optimum efficiency and productivity in all Fixed Operations departments. I have a strong background in Service Departments as well as Parts and Body Shop operations. I also have truck and fleet experience and focus on building fleet businesses to off - set slow periods. I am also experienced in running an accessories/4wd modification center.

I believe in building a strong team that will produce record breaking numbers! I live by percentages and watch and track them daily, weekly and monthly to assure steady, increasing numbers. I am a teacher of processes and procedures and have a knack for seeking out talent, chemisty and team players. I also have the ability to to attract top performing Techs, Advisors and Managers. I love to teach and mentor and watch processes and procedures working. I especially love to see when the team "gets it!"

It may appear that I am a "job hopper" but in fact, for the past 15 years I have restructured Service, Parts and Body Shops (in conjunction with Ford Motor Co.) in several locations. If you call some of my references, you will find that I get the job done!

I would like to find a "home" to stay with now and devote my efforts, drive, talents and experience teaching younger employees all that I have learned and teach them how to make a dealership all that it can be.

Seeking the position of: Service Manager, Parts and Service Manager, Service Director, Fixed Operations Director or General Manager.

As an experienced Manager/Director, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to your organization. My training and "in the trenches" experience will take your Operations to new levels and help your dealership bring you great Service Absorption numbers that will run well above benchmark.

I believe that your Fixed Operations should help you sell vehicles, not just service and repair them. I bring the ability to mold employees together to make them a highly efficient team that produces record breaking numbers. The employees should enjoy coming to work and be part of a team, not just show up for a paycheck.

I am a former Ford "Senior Master" Technician, World Class A.S.E. Master Technician and certified in 43 A.S.E. areas. I feel that this is important to help provide leadership to Technicians to work with them, with all having confidence in me, that I know what I am talking about and know what they are going through in their daily jobs. This also helps me get their trust and respect and helps me to make departments produce at peak performance levels.

I am certified in the former Atcon Lateral Support Systems and can take a central dispatched shop to a team concept shop with new levels of production and profitability - OR - I can take a dispatched shop and tweak it and make it more productive and efficient by utilizing the current talent in the shop and adding to the staff. There are many ways to make an operation more efficient and my experience can help me move a shop, in a short period of time, In the right direction to obtain optimum customer satisfaction, efficiency, profitability and, at the same time, have a great "team" attitude and atmosphere.

I pride myself in getting departments to work together and strive to have a good working relationship with all managers in all departments.

I believe that we must build the retail end of the business, as we cannot rely on the warranty repairs and dollars as in the past. All manufacturers have better, quality vehicles now.

Above all, you will find that my honesty and integrity are what I am known for. I believe that a man's word is his bond. When checking my references, you will find that I am known for a man of my word and do not play any "hanky-panky" or do anything dishonest and will never bring a bad name to the company that I work for. To me, there are no "grey areas". It's by the book for the rules of the company and above all, the rules apply to everyone. I believe that every department head should produce the optimum in profits for the dealership while keeping aneye on the expenses at all times.

I have worked hand and hand with General Managers at many Dealerships and at times, have done their jobs and have trained some too.

Work History

DeSoto AutoMall - Arcadia, Fl. - June 2015 till present - Service Operations Director. I was brought in to implement all the processes and procedures to get Fixed Operations moving in the right direction. This Dealership is a multi - line franchises of Ford, Lincoln, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram. It also has a division called Xtreme Terrain Vehicles that modifies and accessorizes all types of vehicles.

Don Williamson Nissan - Mitsubishi - Jacksonville, NC Jan. 2013 to June 2015 - Parts and Service Director. This was a brand new facility needing all processes and procedures implemented. Had to staff and gear dealership up to be open on Saturdays and move dealership on CSI and personnel problems. Left because of ownership family infighting.

Key Scales Ford - Leesburg, Fl. 2011 to 2013 - Fixed Operations Director. My crew and I took this dealership from dead last in all measured commodities and CSI to one of the top in Zone A in the Orlando Region. This dealership was in step 2 in Ford's Global Warranty Process when I took over and within less than 5 months, had a clean bill of health for warranty numbers. I also implimented processes and procedures to bring this dealership out of doing business like it was 1965 and gave them sales and gross numbers that they had never dreamed of achieving. Owner passed away after I left.

Bostic Ford - Lebanon, Va. - 2008 to 2011 - Parts, Service and Body Shop Director. I took this dealership that was in warranty trouble, profitabilty trouble and staff problems to one of the top dealerships in the Select dealer group. Brought in competent managers and personnel and guided dealership to record sales and CSI. Dealer sold out to a large dealer group after I left.

Regal Ford - Winston-Salem, NC - 2004 to 2008 - Parts, Service and Body Shop Director . I was brought in to this dealership after it had a nasty warranty fraud audit of $336,000. and nearly a loss of the franchise. I put in place processes and procedures and personally trained all personnel, including the owner, in warranty procedures and write ups. When I left, all Fixed Ops departments were making money and CSI was in the top 10% in group. Owner sold out to large dealership group after I left.

In closing, I would like to work for a stable company that prides itself in it's professionalism and the way they treat the employees, and in turn, customers. I want to teach and mentor younger employees and managers and instill in them the pride in workmanship and to "do the job right the first time". I can make either one produce the way that it should.
