ACADEMIC PROJECT:

Title: Performance of Binary vapour cycle (cascade refrigeration system) with Phase change material.

Description:

In low-temperature applications, including rapid freezing and the storage of frozen food, the required evaporating temperature of the refrigeration system ranges from –15 C to –50 C, so a single-stage vapour-compression refrigeration system is insufficient, while two-stage or cascade refrigeration systems are used for low-temperature applications. In these, two single-stage systems are thermally coupled through a cascade condenser. This project investigates the performance improvement provided by a phase change material associated with the evaporator in a cascade refrigerator. That is in low temperature side, cooling is given to a phase change material (PCM) and the cooling is stored in PCM, this cooling is sustained up to 10 hours without operation of cycle, thus maintaining the low temperature of the products even without continuous power supply. And the scope of the present project is focused on the thermodynamic analysis of a cascade refrigeration system using (R-134a).

Completed Internship in the year 2013 at Sri Durga Automotives (MARUTI SUZUKI), cars division, in Anantapuram for two weeks as a part of internship.

Completed internship on Study and analysis of boiler, in boiler maintenance division, in R.T.P.P. for two weeks as a part of internship. POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
