I am seeking a position as Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager or similar position with a successful organization. I am an ambitious self-starter who is focused on the big picture and is as detail oriented as the situation requires. I enjoy challenging positions and growth-oriented companies. My goal is to continue the transition into Management and find a position in a organization where I will be beneficial and productive.

My project management experience has been obtained by working for others and owning my own construction company. Over the last 25+ years I have built 400+ multi-family units and 400+ new homes. I have also completed countless hands on smaller projects like finishing basements, remodels, and commercial finishes. This gives me a unique skill set as a Project Manager with hands on experience in all phases of construction. I’ve managed projects ranging from $50,000 to $16,700,000.

I feel that consistency of participants at all levels is a key element in a project’s success along with a spirit of continuous improvements. I believe in on-site, hands-on management and full communication with the entire Project Team. As a Project Manager, I work closely with the owners, vendors, contractors, sub-contractors and employees to complete jobs on time and within budget. This approach gives my team a competitive edge in the industry.

I have successfully negotiated and saved companies time and money, by making sure all bids include the correct materials outlined in the scope of work and spec sheets and insure all questions are answered before accepting a final bid. I work closely with subcontractors and vendors throughout the project. I to make sure all involved have the necessary skills to complete work correctly and on time by checking references and/or visiting job sites before writing the final contract.

My experience has given me the skills to be a successful Project Manager. Both working for others and owning my own business has given me strong people and management skills, an understanding of the importance of deadlines and the ability to make and meet budgets. The work I have done in new construction has given me an opportunity to develop different management styles. Hands on experience has given me a unique skill set to work closely with onsite trades to insure every project is completed correctly and to the highest standards.
