HPC & LPC Inspector: after the engine is strip into several different modules, my section the HPC will strip the module to make it piece by piece after the strip, its my job to inspect visually and dimensionally (using micrometer, PI tape, depth gauges, and etc.) each part for status if it is serviceable for internal or external repair and if it is remove from service (RS). But before I do the inspection I check first the customers work scope and check L.O. for their requirements for the module, if they have Service Bulletin to be incorporate for modifications. using SAP I enter all my inspection to ZIWB, here I do my serviceable, remove from service parts and external repair. When I need to do an internal repair I import CAPPS on my ZIWB to create a SMO which is the step by step process of the internal repair.
