ALESSIO DI ZIO

Film Director

074******** I ac8kt1@r.postjobfree.com I www.alessiodizio.com

Spoken Languages: English (Fluent) - Italian (Fluent) - Date of Birth: 06/07/1992 - Nationality: Italian SUMMARY

When I started out as a film director at age 16 I suddenly found myself overwhelmed with the responsibility of developing and di- recting projects from conception to distribution, recruiting and coordinating staff, planning and managing finances and business deals. Over 10 years of experience in filmmaking I directed more than 20 award-winning films and music videos, rapidly gaining international attention and critical praise. At 20 I was the youngest director to ever be selected at the Venice Film Festival. Since then my work has been exhibited at major film festivals and museums worldwide while being extensively featured in interna- tional magazines like Vogue. This year though I made the decision to take a temporary career break because I wish to bring my ex- perience, skills and sensitivity elsewhere. I now feel I need a change of perspective, to explore new areas and possibilities, and con- tribute effectively outside of my speciality. My experience as a director has generated a deep sense of responsibility and self-disci- pline in me, one that drives me to do great work that benefits the company. I strongly believe that starting out as leader made me a better follower. Being a director provided me with the skills, knowledge and perspective required to be a competent and effective team worker while allowing me to empathize with the needs and expectations of an employer. Through my background I learned to be a more conscious and responsible worker, the kind I always wished to hire. BIOGRAPHY
