● Improved operations by updating the bill of materials on company projects in Sage

● Improved production efficiency by creating subassemblies in Solidworks and updating CAD assembly and drawing files

● Assisted in production builds and troubleshooting equipment failures OEWorks (Engineering consulting) August 13 2018 to September 2018

● Product research and development for a level 3B laser test box

● Designed a safety enclosure with Thorlabs products for a level 3B laser

● BOM and cost estimates for test equipment

Hastest Solutions Test Labs (environmental control tests and equipment) April 2017 - June 2018

● Improved and developed heat and fluid systems while saving time and money by researching, cost estimating, and working with vendors

● Designed and manufactured systems and fixtures for lab use with Creo PTC

● Followed and created lab safety procedures

● Performed IP temperature, humidity, solar, dust, and vibration tests on customer products following EIC and ISO standard requirements and programming PLCs

● Collected and analysed data by setting up automated readings with a DAQ and creating calculations in an Excel file.

● Verified performance of all lab equipment by testing, making electrical and plumbing repairs, calibrations, and design improvements based on heat and fluid mechanics

● Stream lined lab procedures by developing and implementing easy to follow manuals, procedures, report templates, and data spreadsheets with Excel. STEM Instructor Summer 2016 and Spring 2017

Intelliscience Training Institute LLC (STEM education)

● Taught engineering principles to children ages 7-12 with projects and games

● Expanded children’s thought process by asking them key questions and showing them ways to problem solve

● Improved team collaboration and communication by challenging the children to build projects together

EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering May 2018 San Jose State University San Jose, CA

VOLUNTEER WORK

HistoriCorps Oct 2016

● Reshingled roofs to preserve historical structures at the Gilroy Yamato Hot Springs Engineering Ambassadors Program at SJSU Fall 2016 and Spring 2017

● Taught STEM to underprivileged students with demonstrations and projects Catholic Charities Spring 2016

● Taught STEM to underprivileged students with demonstrations and projects PROJECTS

Self Heating Thermos

● Researched existing heated thermoses, the different heating technologies, and environmental impact

● Designed the thermos in Solidworks and ran FEA analysis

● 3D printed outer shell, assembled, and tested

● Using a 24V wall plug in, the thermos heated 16 oz of water to 65oC in less than 10 mins and 80oC in less than 20 mins. The best comparable thermos on the market only heats the water to 45oC and takes almost 45 mins to reach that temperature. Chip Package Cooling

● Designed a cooling system with a heat sink for a GPU PCIE card

● Executed calculations for heat and air flow along with the max junction temperature of the GPU

● Used ANSYS Icepak CFD software to simulate performance and heat transfer analysis

● Performed a cost analysis encompassing start-up cost, operations, and compound interest Arduino Projects

● Created a mini theremin with LED lights

● Wrote Arduino programming code and tested the performance of the code

● Tested the sound on an oscilloscope to analyze the waveforms from different sounds

● Learned how to use a power generator to analyze the effects of changing the type of power supply with the performance of the circuit design

Creo PTC

● Took an existing Solidworks CAD assembly of a hydraulic floor jack and recreated it in Creo. Redesigned the floor jack and reduced the size and weight while improving the strength

● Performed FEA analysis and based changes to the design to reduce weight without compromising the strength on the results of the FEA simulations.

● Designed a layout for the lab with water and electrical systems in place
