Determining fibre break points using the Optical Time Domain Reflection (OTDR) meter.

Assisting ADSL Broadband Installation and Restoration of Faults, Vodafone Ghana, Cape Coast 2005 – 2006;

Stringing of coper cables (1mm to 3mm diameter) from Distribution Points to Customer’s demarc.

Mounting of 5-metres to 9-metres wooden and steel poles to standard.

Ensuring steel and wooden mounted poles are properly tensioned using approtiate stay.

Extension of copper networks from urban to rural areas using at least 300 metres of copper cables, poles, tensioners, hoist, safety belts and helmet.

Working as the Officer In Charge of Fixed Cellular Terminal Installation, Ghana Telecom, Cape Coast: 2004 - 2005;

As an innovation, I installed a full version of Network Monitor Software to determine signal strengths, Cell ID’s etc for new Fixed Cellular Terminal Installations (FCTs). FCT was another way of providing telephone services to customers who lived in areas further than the maximum loop length for copper.

During the installation of FCTs, I used the Garmin GPS device to pick GPS coordinates for location where devices were installed.

Working as the Officer In Charge of Test Room/MDF Ghana Telecom, Cape Coast: 2003 - 2004 ;

Taking advantage of MS Excel’s powerful formulas, I created n database to manage a total of 7,000 customers during the cut-over form the NEAX ( an old Japanese telephone exchange) to a new ALCATEL Digital PSTN switch.

I administered (using Tarantella Database) the physical network details (copper points) for over 3,700 Customers.

I was appointed as Team Lead for copper testing officers.

Achievements

As a result of dedication, continuous monitoring and professional troubleshooting of customer’s previous service before upgrade, Vodafone Ghana won a contract worth over $ 100,000 from an Enterprise Customer, and I was rewarded as a “Vodafone Local Hero” in 2011.

I was commended by the CTO-Vodafone Ghana as part of a group of three who worked tireless day and night to bring up the service of an Enterprise Customer which was down for seven months.

Introduced a software(first to be realised) that is in the process of being adapted as a model software to measure and test Bandwidth as against Speed of services delivered to Enterprise Customers in Vodafone Ghana.

At First Nationa Bank Ghana Limited, I introduced a device which was installed in Data Centers and ATM off-sites to manage and report temperatures for normal and critical levels. The device also controlled power supplying connected loads.
