PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

North Texas Inspection Services, Fort Worth, TX

Owner/CEO, February 2000- March 2006

* Operated North Texas Inspection Services, oversaw three departments with net sales in excess of twenty million dollars. Responsible for ensuring safe construction of over one hundred and twenty commercial and residential projects being built simultaneously as a International Code Council (ICC) Certified Inspector.

* Successfully completed over six hundred and eighty million dollars in construction projects in 2005 & 2006; both residential and commercial to include schools, hospitals and apartment complexes.

* Participated in monthly City Council, Development and Zoning meetings, and served as a liaison between city governments, contractors, developers, and builders. Attended pre-construction meetings with various school districts and collaborated with the architects, engineers, and construction supervisors ensured compliance of all city, state, and federal codes.

* Served on several building advisory committees and worked closely with various municipalities helping to develop building inspection programs. Specific duties included writing ordinances, adopting current model codes, and establishing safe building standards.

* Developed roadway impact and water waste impact fees, as well as permit fee schedules for commercial and residential construction.

U.S. Army, September 2010 – July 2018

Senior Training and Operations Specialist and Facility Manager, Dublin, CA.

* Developed training schedules and coordinated all professional development schools for a 600 Soldier Battalion. Worked extensively with Senior Battalion Staff to develop yearly training calendars as well as plan all training events for five 120 Solider subordinate Companies.

* Responsible for maintaining an 85,000 square foot Army reserve facility, and six ancillary buildings, including motor-pools and fabrication workshops.

* Battalion Deployment Readiness Specialist, and the lead Equal Opportunity Trainer (EO) Sexual Harassment / Assault Response Program Trainer (SHARP) and the Battalion Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer (ASIST).

U.S. Army, August 2010 – August 2012. Kabul, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Coordinated all personnel and logistical movements at the International Security Assistance Forces Headquarters and U.S. Embassy. Responsible for 112 Soldier Company providing tactical and logistical support for 18 Forward Operating Bases.

Contract Quality Control (CQC) Director, December 2007- July 2010

* Performed building and plumbing inspections for code compliance as well as comprehensive Energy Code Compliance using current International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). Reviewed submittal documents, and inspected all materials used and worked performed.

* Directly supervised 8 combination inspectors averaging 75 inspections daily, assuring materials, workmanship, construction, and safety are in full compliance with the contract criteria requirements and Projects Contractor Quality Control Plan.

* Thoroughly reviewed and familiar with all aspects of the Request for Proposal (RFP), contract document, applicable codes, and referenced specifications. Reviewed all contract documents to determine submittal requirements, and initiated procedures to receive and review all submittals ahead of schedule.

*Act as the primary daily contact with the Government representatives on all matters pertaining to the compliance with the construction requirements.

*Administered the Safety plan and assured the construction proceeds were in accordance with the established safety rules and criteria.

*Perform final "punch list" inspections and coordinate final inspections of the project with the Government.

Quality Control (QC) Manager, August 2006- December 2007

* Developed a Quality Control Program that established the necessary supervision, control phases and inspection procedures for all vertical construction, including all underground utilities.

* Performed daily follow-up inspections to ensure code compliance. Supervised the contracted independent third party inspection team oversaw consistent code compliance. All construction was in compliance with federal codes and applicable specifications and drawings. Reviewed all inspections, test logs, and incoming materials, to ensure contract compliance.

* Reviewed all submittals to certify compliance with closing documents and Buy American Act compliance.

* Furnished testing/inspection reports to the Government, maintained all QC inspection logs, and conducted daily follow-up inspections of work being performed.

C & C Engineering, Fort Worth, TX

Project Development Manager, January 2006- July 2006

* Established a Third Party Plan Review and Inspection Company in the City of Fort Worth and developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) ensuring consistent project expediting and permitting resulting in compliance to city ordinances and adopted model codes.

* Responsible for all commercial and residential projects from initial review to completion of project. Worked with developers and builders, estimated project costs, and developed construction schedules.

* Coordinated monthly development meetings with all regional offices in Texas, ensuring maximum profitability by creating standardized policies and procedures.
