Design

Coordinated the recommendations of various team members including: Plant Personnel, Material Planning and Logistics, Ergonomics, Global Tooling, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety, and Simulation.

Result: A cohesive facility proposal for a new model program resulting in a flawless launch.

Lean Manufacturing Improved facility function by identifying waste using lean principles, such as just in time, zero inventory, scheduling (pull versus push systems), line balancing, and TPS. Result: Reduced or eliminated waste in manufacturing processes. Leadership Advised management on the capability and cost effectiveness of a 3D Laser Imaging program.

Result: Cost savings by utilizing regular field checks augmented by the 3D laser. Multi-Tasking Succeeded in balancing workload between 6 different truck assembly plants. Result: Delivered engineering support for new model programs while maintaining and improving existing plant projects at all 6 assembly plants simultaneously. Inspecting Used plant field checks to improve the existing state of all assembly plant layouts. Result: Plant layouts that were up to date and able to reflect real time information. CAD Provided updated drawings to support the construction of an entirely new state of the art trim shop.

Result: A long-time project that met all its benchmarks and flawlessly transferred production from old trim shop to new.
