Senior executive with 35 years of experience working in and with manufacturing companies as a senior financial manager and consultant. Significant strategic acquisition and financing experience as a transaction professional in private equity. Consulting

Performing consulting work as part of small professional consulting entity including operational assignments, financial reviews, and due diligence work for both industrial companies and private equity groups since 2011.

- Worked with Board of a major aluminum die caster and developed a 5 year strategic plan.

- Provided operational consulting for a Fortune 500 truck builder at their foundry operations, performing supply chain reviews and detailed part profitability analysis utilized to improve operating profit.

- Performed several due diligence reviews for private equity groups including a targeted major automotive supplier, and several iron casting operations serving the agricultural and heavy truck markets.

Private Equity

Managing Director and CFO for a Chicago based private equity firm, for almost 20 years and during that time performed multiple functions at several levels including: Portfolio Management – 2006 - 2010

- Managing Director and Board Member on several portfolio companies in automotive component industry.

- Chief Financial Officer, and member of the Board of Directors, for TMB’s foundry group including a world class stainless steel foundry, and two iron foundries, supplying domestic and international construction, mining, and agricultural markets. Led acquisition and financing efforts for these portfolio acquisitions. Responsible for managing banking and insurance relationships. Metalforming Technologies – CFO 2002 -2005

- Chief Financial Officer of Metalforming Technologies, Inc. (MTI) from 2003 until 2005. MTI a large metal stamping, tubing, and assembly company serving the automobile industry. Improvements were made to the financial reporting and costing areas, as part of a major corporate restructuring. Helped lead restructuring efforts and ultimately the sale of the company in 2005.

Global Metal Technologies – CFO 1995 - 2001

- Chief Financial Officer of Global Metal Technologies, Inc. (GMTI) from 1995 to 2001. GMTI a major producer of complex aluminum die castings, serving the automotive industry in North America and Europe. GMTI was the result of acquiring and integrating three separate casting and tooling operations. Led acquisition efforts including due diligence and financing. Melded financial, IT, and human resource operations resulting in substantial savings. Worked in readying the company for sale to a private equity in 2001. Coach & Car Equipment - CFO 1992 - 1994

- Chief Financial Officer of Coach & Car Equipment Corp. from 1992 to 1994. Coach & Car was a leading producer of rail seating in North America with major customers including Amtrak, Metra, Septa. Also provided seating for the M1A1 tank program. Introduced cash management controls on major contracts to manage liquidity during a period of rapid growth. Peabody Galion – VP of Finance 1987 – 1992

Senior financial officer for this $50 million leading refuse and dump body manufacturer. Responsible for all accounting, treasury, financial reporting, and IT functions. Significantly improved the company’s forecasting and planning capabilities, led restructuring efforts during an industry down turn, and launched a private label dealer equipment financing entity. Led local efforts in the sale of the company to a Michigan manufacturer in 1991. Trailmobile – Assistant Controller 1981 – 1987

Responsible for financial reporting at this $300 million global truck trailer and container manufacturer, and related leasing and financing arms.

Managed the company’s audit and tax requirements, as well as, monthly financial reporting, which included foreign subsidiaries, four domestic manufacturing plants, a parts distribution operation, over 50 branches and the equipment leasing and financing entities. Pullman Corporate – Audit Manager 1977 - 1981

Managed both financial and operational audits of this mult-ibillion dollar public company’s domestic and global holdings. Signicant work spent at the company’s rail car and global engineering and construction operations including major foreign contract reviews and domestic rail equipment contracts. Johnson Atwater & Company – Senior Auditor 1975 - 1977 Clients included major commercial insurers, adjusters and law firms requiring audits for property damages, business interruption, and fraud claims.
