Yixuan is also a self-motivated and independent person with a strong work ethic who thrives in fast-paced, stressful environments.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong skills in 2D and 3D Modeling (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor), FEA (ANSYS, SW), Programming, Heat Transfer Analysis and Control Engineering

• Hands-on experience with PID Control, Microprocessor, PLC Application, GD&T, Mechanical Failure Analysis and Material Evaluation

• Other skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), SQL WORK EXPERIENCE

Production Order Processor/Validator - SMF Inc., Woodbridge, ON February 2019 – Present

• Review, action and release production work orders per schedule. Coordinating and monitoring multiple projects effectively and accurately

• Handle customer issues related to company products on a daily basis

• Work directly with the client, management group, and the internal production teams to provide production support and project management

Research Assistant - National Research Council Canada, Ottawa, ON May 2017 – August 2017

• Researched and analyzed the possible reasons for the failure of the thermal barrier coating system based on the existed reports, experimental data and the delamination maps simulated by MATLAB

• Worked closely with the supervisor and developed a model equation based on previous research. Developed data analysis models using MATLAB to analyze the data quantitatively. Evaluated the failure conditions leading to delamination

Production Fieldwork Intern - RG Petro-Machinery Group Co., Nanyang, China June 2015 – August 2015

• Studied the construction and production of offshore and land drilling platforms. Successfully communicated within the team and participated in the core product line

• Trained in the metal processing workshop, foundry workshop, assembly workshop, etc. of heavy machines used in the petroleum product line. Drafted and revised engineering drawings with the application of GD&T Mechanical Design & Metalwork Assistant - Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China July 2014 – August 2014

• Designed 2D drawings and 3D models of Gearbox with AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Designed programs to control the CNC Lathe for the production of small metal parts

EDUCATION

M.Eng of Mechanical Engineering - University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON (GPA: 9.25) September 2016 – March 2018 International Exchanging Program - University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON September 2015 – May 2016 Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering - China University of Petroleum, Beijing, China September 2012 – July 2016 PERSONAL PROJECTS

Evaluation of Thermal Gradient Effect on Thermal Barrier Coatings May 2017 – August 2017

• Optimized the delamination map for homogeneous coating drawn by A.G.Evans and J.W.Hutchinson with consideration of time and temperature, while also taking the effect of variation of the Young's Modulus and toughness of the coating material into account

• Took the role of TGO into account instead of a homogeneous coating material, which met the actual situation within the aero engine

Pan and Tilt Platform System for Radar and Camera Surveillance System December 2015 –June 2016

• Designed an autonomous, robotic platform system using SolidWorks which can mount a surveillance device and a radar. Analyzed each critical component and determined their dimensions and material to reach the requirements

• Using MATLAB to analyze and calculate the geometric, static and dynamic force, torque and moment for shift, gear, belt, and rod, etc

Railroad Bridge Design Analysis (FEA) September 2017 –December 2017

• Conducted the structure analysis of a railroad bridge based on the finite element method using both MATLAB and ANSYS. Determined the displacements at each node. Verified and compared the results obtained

• Executed numerous experiments and simulated the stress distribution for both simplified 2-D plane truss structure and the 3-D whole bridge. Found the maximal downward and suddenly applied load applied to the central beams Core Courses
