Viking Pulp and Paper Mill Co. was founded in 1969 at the Aliağa district of İzmir. In 1971, it started production of wrapping, printing, and laminating paper with a capacity of 13,500 tons/year. Taking part in the body of Yaşar Group in 1982, Viking Pulp and Paper Mill bears the title “the first private paper mill in Turkey”. Realizing expansion investment in 1984 along with the continuous development philosophy of the group, Viking Pulp and Paper Mill increased its capacity to 20,500 tons/year and an annual turnover of US$11.5M.
