Evaluated and provided process expertise for ensuring quality reliability, for the new generation of frameless, high efficiency solar panels. Identified and provided warranty liability risk assessment and mitigation for the company due to deficiencies in their manufacturing process. Estimated several million-dollar savings in warranty claims, repairs and damage to reputation from poor application of sealant used in frame-less panels. Provided education of Silicone sealants used in robotically applied process regarding application, maintenance of equipment, cure inhibition, adhesion and cleaning of components. Suggested process improvements to alert of issues which would prevent unplanned shutdowns and reduce waste. Corporate Director of Quality and Productivity (2008-2016)

Corporate integrated management leader for NAFTA region selected to initiate, lead, and implement business transformation initiatives. Led analytical, process control and QA laboratories and four separate divisional sites. Drove acquisition of state-of-the-art instrumentation allowing quicker turn-around and increased analysis capability of QA and Analytical testing. TOF-MS instrument allowed identification of microbial strains. Quadrupole GC-MS allowed identification of customer contamination rather than product issue saving over $1 million in in Liability claims. Improved instrumentation turn-around time in providing data to production by an average of one hour.

As the US process owner and part of global team, reduced certification, and surveillance audits for ISO 9001 and 14001 certification processes for six facilities from 69 days to 14.

Manager Analytical Services (2005-2008)

Managed analytical laboratory handling QA, customer support, R&D and plant support testing for materials and processes for the semiconductor, paper, automotive, building, cosmetics, food, and general industries. Reported to the Director of Quality. Managed, 10 Chemists and Technicians. Assigned tasks, consulted with internal and external customers on problems and test issues, prioritized testing and resource utilization, and provided resource usage to controllers for costing. Reviewed and approved reports and test methods, led safety meetings and team meetings.

Acquired over $1 million in new and replacement equipment as well as state of the art technology. Adoption of these acquisitions delivered: 25% reduction in errors and 10% reduction in re-testing; increased capacity by 25% through reduction in the number of samples run in semi-conductor clean room operation through assessment and implementation of test methodology used to evaluate semi-conductor CMP slurries. Improved titrations throughput by 20% and Cleanroom operations by 25%.
