Accomplishments: Entered a terminal that was 2-3 days behind. Restructured dock and driver start times to meet inbound arrival patterns. Restructured bids for a 7-day operation with current staffing without the need to recruit and add additional head count. Within 2 weeks the terminal was current and meeting customer and company expectations.

Responsible for sales and operations of $15 million dollar/year facility employing 100 employees.

Accomplishments: Entered a facility that had not shown profitability since opening in 2008.

Restructured the key areas of the operation to eliminate waste and improve productivity. Developed sales strategy that grew existing business and added new business that drove city miles per stop into the low teens. Eliminated cartage cost from 5% of total revenue to less than .1% of total revenue. In 2016 the terminal operating ratio was 101.4 vs. 115.9 in 2015. 2016 was first time this terminal ever posted a profitable operating ratio during any month, in 2016 this was done 5 times.

Developed and implemented operational procedures and educated all employees in the key areas of LTL transportation. Designed line haul network to existing R&L terminals to position all inbound arrivals at each break-bulk or direct load to point before 7:00 AM. This network provided 1 to 3-day service between 90% of the R&L system while eliminating empty miles. Designed and implemented local coverage areas for driver and sales workforce at each facility to attain the greatest density on each driver route and sales territory.
