Project Specifics

2013-2016 Black &Veatch – Power Generation Services – Project Manager - Traditional engineering services for power generation projects around the world. Spent 1 year stationed in Manila, Philippines as Owner’s Engineer Project Manager for a supercritical coal –fired power plant in Quezon Province.

2010-2012 ProEnergy Services – Project Manager - As Project Manager for ProEnergy have managed execution for several EPC projects in Venezuela and have helped develop proposals for several other projects around the world. These projects all involve smaller CTGs in simple cycle mode. The CTGs are all aero derivatives such as GE LM2500s, GE LM6000s, RR Trent 60s, and P&W FT4s. The projects are usually multiple units and may include water treatment for NOx abatement or liquid fuel oil treatment. The CTGs may be gas and/or oil fired. The EPC contract value for these projects usually varies from USD 40 million to 70 million.

2005-2009 URS/Advatech - Project Manager – Advatech is a Joint Venture with URS and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries – IP&L Project – Finalized and executed $160 mil+ full scope EPC contract for wet FGD plant retrofit at Harding Street Station’s 460 MW Unit #7 in Indianapolis, Indiana. This union project was fully operational and making SO2 removal guarantees in just 24 months after Full NTP and the owner’s full funding of the project. Project scope included limestone receiving, transport, and grinding; gypsum dewatering, transport, and covered storage; new 565 ft high concrete chimney shell with 26 ft diameter FRP liner.

2004-2005 Black & Veatch – Project Manager – Joint Venture with Black & Veatch and ARB/Arendal – CNC Project - Canterell Nitrogen Company Plant for BOC - Finalized and began executing full scope EPC contract for cogeneration project at existing compressed nitrogen process plant in Mexico. Project included erection of owner provided GE 6FA CTG and purchase and erection of HRSG and miscellaneous BOP equipment.

2001-2004 Black & Veatch – BVBM – Project Manager - Joint Venture with Black & Veatch and Barton Mallow - Hunterstown Project - Finalized and executed full scope EPC Agreement for 800 MW, 3-on-1, combined cycle, union labor project for Reliant Energy near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. These were serial nos. 1, 2, and 3 for GE’s new 7FB CTG line. Serial no. 1 was ready for operation in 12 months for extensive full load simple cycle testing by GE. Project also included a huge air-cooled condenser for the steam cycle.

1998-2001 Black &Veatch – Project Manager – Black & Veatch direct hire labor - Takoradi 2 project for CMS Energy - Finalized and executed full scope EPC contract for 2 x 110 MW simple cycle CTG units in Ghana, Africa. Scope also included fuel oil treatment and water treatment systems.

1996-1998 Engineering Manager for various EPC fossil fuel proposals in Syria, the Philippines, and Saipan. Also, owner’s engineer for developing a 250 MW coke-fired CFB project in central Mexico and a 250 MW refuse coal-fired CFB project in Queensland, Australia.

1994-1996 Project Structural Engineer to execute EPC contract for 2 x 500 MW turbine island for coal and gas fired units near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

1992-1994 Project Structural Engineer for various EPC fossil fuel proposals in the USA, Canada, Hungary, Mexico, Syria, the Philippines, and Colombia, South America.

1989-1992 Project Structural Engineer to execute EPC contract for 180 MW coal-fired CFB project for AES Barber’s Point on Oahu, Hawaii.
