Presently working with Dee Development Engineers Ltd. (DDEL) in the field of Power Piping & Process Piping as a Welding Engineer since July 2012 till date. ORGANIZATION’S PROFILE:-

DEE complies right from design stage to testing, from material procurement to the delivery of the final product with Pressure Equipment Directive, ASME Code Stamp Piping, Indian Boiler Regulations, ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001-2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 3834-2, PED Fitting Certificate & PED Module -H.

DEE is also equipped with an advanced NABL accredited testing laboratory. CURRENT JOB PROFILE:-

Welding Engineer at Dee Development Engineers Ltd.

• Preparation and approval of Weld Map, WPS, PQR as per applicable standards (ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1,EN 15614-1 & PED 97/23EC).

• New Project Enquiry handling in bidding stages (Technical Input).

• Overall all Control of Welding Production and Quality of Welding.

• Qualification of welders/welding operators as per applicable standards.

• Analyzing previous day rework/ rejection & take corrective actions and maintaining all related documents Trouble shooting / failure investigation

• To verify fit-up of Joint geometry (groove angle, root gap, root face, misalignment, mechanical damages and cleanness) before welding.

• To do the weld visual of welded joints as per drawing and applicable standard

• Maintaining the minimum stock level for the consumables to ensure the inventory within minimum limit.

• To estimate and plan for procurement of the required weld consumable in project as per requirements.

• To prepare TDC and indent of welding consumable as per requirements of projects.

• Conducting training for welders and welding operators for welding activities and project requirements.

• Assessment of vendor welding activities and ensure the quality of welding as per code standards

& customer requirements.

• Recommends and implements quality improvement projects to reduce work costs, scrap and improve productivity as well as on time delivery.

• Welding process planning, execution & control.

• Repair analysis of welding and corrective and preventive actions to mitigate weld repairs.

• Preparation & conducting internal audit & client audit at planned schedule.

• Dealt with advance welding technology like orbital welding & robotic welding.

• Knowledge of Heat Treatment as applicable in the industry. Professional Qualification:-

• Pursuing IWT (International Welding Technologist) from IIW Kolkata.

• AWS-CWI Certification (16102451 Expire 2019)

• NDT LEVEL II in VT as per recommended practice of SNT-TC-1A .

• NDT LEVEL II in RT, PT, UT and MPI as per recommended practice of SNT-TC-1A.

• Understanding of different Codes like ASME Sec IX, Sec VIII, ASME Sec II Part A & C, B31.1 (Power Piping) B31.3 (Process Piping), EN ISO 9606-1, EN IS0 15614 & AWS (D1.1) etc.

Material Dealt With: CS, LAS (SA335Gr. P11, P12, P22, P91, P92), SS (SA312 TP304, 316,317,321) SA333 Gr.6 (LTCS), ASTM B 423 (UNS. NO.-8825) etc. Welding Process Dealt With: GTAW, SMAW, SAW, GMAW, FCAW, PAW, Orbital welding, and Robotic Welding.
