I was the lead technician in the Data Center Migration from Simi Valley to Wyndham Data Center and HA systems in Richmond Virginia. Visions HA products was used extensively to achieve this Data Center Migration which I believe was the largest ever attempted. Between all the Production and HA systems at B of A running OMS400 there is approximately over 300 replication links which I think is also the largest installation Visions has in the U.S..

Responsibilities - work closely with vendors, Enterprise Infrastructure Architect and Enterprise Software Architect in managing High availability and disaster recovery solutions. Perform Vision Solution administration duties that are required to maintain high availability of the platform. Participate in high availability role swaps and support

disaster recovery tests. Maintain iSeries based high availability software and associated documentation. Participate as a Subject Matter Expert, SME, for design reviews, technology and tool selection. Reviews business solutions, design, test and implementation plans created by team and ensures adherence to standards and best practices. While performing all the duties of the Iseries System Administrator who was out on medical leave trained the existing staff in the following Iseries disciplines, Security, Backup & Recovery, Database Performance Tuning, Job Scheduling, System Work Management, Disaster Recovery and PTF maintenance. Created documents to support day to day operations and maintenance of the Iseries 570 and 550, dedicated disaster recovery system. Began on contract and became an employee in November, 2005. Primary responsibility is configuration and maintenance of test environments which includes 2 i595-iSeries and 2 i890’s partitioned into several systems. These systems must mirror configuration, performance and functionality of forty different production machines without access to production entities. The position requires extensive knowledge of the following: TCP/IP needed to “wrap the systems” to insure no communications escapes to the production and/or outside world; System performance and tuning for setup of environments to match production and for use in performance and scalability testing; RPG IV/ILE coupled with OS/400 Stored Procedures to troubleshoot and assist developers in environments issues. Other duties require knowledge and experience in Iseries partitioning, iASP (used to refresh the test systems), external DASD, Java fundamentals, knowledge of the Java environment in the Iseries, WebSphere Application Server, MQ Series, BRMS, Windows Active Directory and ODBC access, Web Services, .Net environments and Vision Solutions/Mimix setup and monitoring. As the Manager of Information Services, one of the many roles I assumed was that of Information Security Engineer those responsibilities included multiple day-to-day security tasks in addition to various short and medium term information security projects as part of supporting the entire ACM community's information security needs.

Day-to-day tasks include evaluation of requests for security changes, and monitoring of various security devices and audit logs. This also involves providing ongoing support and advice to executive staff and end users on a variety of security issues, and ensuring that ACM's security policy and procedures are adhered to.

One of my major accomplishments was to implement a system wide security plan for all platforms, Network, ISERIES, Internet Commerce Server, and Email and draft the policies and procedures that governed that plan. Project activities included attending meetings and working with others to determine requirements and deploy appropriate solutions. Project activities also included developing and implementing new security policies and procedures, and recommending strategies to prevent security exposures and intrusions.

I am also the sole person in charge of application support, development and security for J.D. Edwards World software modules include; General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchase Order Management, Sales Order Management and Inventory Management. I perform maintenance programming for J.D. Edwards World environment as needed which also included the creation of one hundred and fifty new World Writer Reports and another 50 RPG programs to support the Distribution module.. I have implemented numerous enhancements to the current shipping software PFASTSHIP 2000. Data communications to our remote locations is also one of my responsibilities in the last 1.5 years I have migrated both voice and data communications from many providers to one provider improving manageability and uptime while saving the company more than 15K annually. I was the Project Manager of successful XP O/S and XP Office rollout to user community. The entire NT Server Farm (8 in total) were migrated to Dell Servers running Windows 2000 Active Directory and Most recently, I served as the Project Manager and sole implementer/integrator of a successful web based Sales Force Automation application (www.netledger.com). The remainder of my time is dedicated to developing a disaster recovery plan, researching new technologies to improve the workforce efficiency, support users and management team in day-to-day operations. Installed a new Pix Firewall version 6 and configured it for use. Maintained Cisco 2600 routers and 3COM Switches.

Contractor - AS400 System Administrator Technical Consultant

Hyundai Motors America, Fountain Valley, CA.

Provided technical assistance in the migration from a Mainframe environment to ISERIES production LPAR environment. Designed the rollout plan for QMF Query to the new ISERIES user population and later provided technical support and training for this new query product, which, included performance tuning and query design. After the Mainframe to ISERIES migration completed, I was assigned the project of Event Notification in case of a hardware or application failure. To complete this project I implemented a paging software package this involved the analysis and evaluation of software packages and later the install and configuration and testing of Messenger Plus and lastly the training of Help Desk Support Team, Technical Support Team, Application and Development teams.

Performed the role of Project Manager for all ISERIES upgrades which, included but was not limited to the rollout of Client Access 5.1 to 700 users, numerous hardware and OS/400 upgrades, migration to a LPAR system and upgrades and maintenance to Lotus Domino production server. One of my first projects was to create the hardware and software environment to support Hyundai America's Parts Extranet. To complete this project I installed and configured eight IBM Integrated Netfinity Servers, Websphere 3.5 Application Server, Windows 2000 Enterprise Server, SQL Server 2000 and IBM Host Publisher. Once this project was completed, I was assigned the duties of sole administration and technical support and documentation of this new environment.

Another one of my roles was to share responsibilities as the Security Officer on the ISERIES and one of those duties included management of the migration of application changes from the development server to the production server this was done via change management software, Turnover 5.3.. As the acting Security Officer I also implemented Powerlock Network security (exit point security) software for the ISERIES along with Alliance FTP Manager and PGP Encryption software for encrypted FTP file transfer via the Internet. Participate in application related projects, involving upgrades and implementations, representing the data security interests of the company with minimal guidance from management.

The remainder of my time was dedicated to day-to-day tasks included but not limited to assisting the J.D. Edwards OneWorld technical support team in day-to-day operations and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Documentation and training of technical support staff as well as the end user community. Installed Crystal Reports client version 4.6 for users DB2/400 database access also recreated existing AS400 queries in Crystal Reports for specific power users.
